Apparently England have been offered a Mid season Test against PNG leading up to the RLWC..

Yes but ultimately the Super League clubs will decide if England has time to play or not. They'd have no shortage of offers.

I presume in the UK? And, if so, will all the Papua New Guinea players fly over to the UK in the middle of the season for this one game? Seems rather unlikely…

Maybe JD will be looking to use only the PNG players playing in Super League and the Championship.
But not sure if there will be enough numbers to have an 18 men team.

Flying over 5-10 players from the Hunters & Australian clubs shouldn’t be a problem and would provide a better game.

Maybe the NRL could ask the clubs to let one player per club be released for this match.
If you look at the Kumuls squads for the past two Pacific Championships, Cowboys are the only side with more than one player and generally there are only 4-5 NRL players total.

From an impact to the NRL perspective, PNG is actually one of the best nations to send to the NH mid-season with a large portion of their best squad already over there.
