Interesting observation if you think Arthur’s doesn’t offer as much as some players he would compete with at the club. He’s quicker than anyone except JAC and is a danger from most areas of the pitch. Anyway , he would have to sign and our front office would need to sell him something, given that previously they thought Farnsworth wasn’t worth what he was asking for when available it’s a judgement call.
I’d put him at same level as Simonsson, Russell and Penisini. He’s better than them at some things but probably not enough for blank cheque. And you can’t look at him in isolation. My opinion is we’d pay him more than a 5th choice back is worth, which is fine if he’s higher than 5th choice but then that also makes one of the others 5th choice, and so is their pay in line with 5th choice.
The exception to all of this is if Simonsson is totally done. Because yes currently he is streets ahead of whoever our 5th choice is.
I agree with @Avenger that Murray Tuilagi is probably an even better target. But also from memory he plays same side as JAC so might require some due diligence if he can play other side.

mate, you're including starting players!
Of course. You don't think clubs maintain a depth chart with seven backup wingers do you?
you've also included Samrani in which the club believes is exclusively an edge forward now.
No they don't. Also, given Araz Nanva played 22 NSW Cup games last year, he is surely ahead of Alameddine. I dare say by the end of preseason he will be ahead of Tago as well.

Do you think Tago is going to play if any of those players is available?

the discussion point is back ups.

I've thrown 3 names who are back up wingers at their clubs that far superior than what we have outside our starting 2-5.

let me also remind you that we just lost one of the best wingers in the comp without a contingency plan, yes I get that the storm did the same but they have a ready made replacement and are kings of the 'turd polishers'

But you are comparing them to Tago who isn’t in the same spot as Skelton, et al. You should be comparing them to Renisini, and even then as you said we haven’t replaced Lomax yet, so really you should be comparing them to whoever you think the worst out of Simonsson, Russell or Penisini as they would’ve be same level as the players you mentioned before we let Lomax go.

well the reason why I mentioned Tago is because we no longer have an out an out back up winger in our T30..

Renisini is a centre.

I'll go further...we don't even have a winger you'd regard as a potential NRL player of the future, Lorima Rokosuka might be a chance I suppose but he's only just started his Flegg career and has some deficiencies in his game that seriously need addressing.

I’m telling you. Bottom 4. But I’m betting on a spoon next season. We just do not have the cattle.
There was discussion earlier regarding Ryles’ improving our defence. I think we’re going to need to continue that big time in order to cover the overall skill deficiencies otherwise I agree next season will be tough going

Russell has played wing in the NRL. In fact many questioned him being selected as centre. And do you think Tago is a better winger than both Penisii?
I agree we’re a winger short having let Lomax go and need a replacement but all that replacement should do is move Tago from 7th option to 8th whoopy de f**ken doo. Even then I’ve also got Papalii and @Twizzle ahead of him too. f**k throw in moving Tuilagi or Kautoga or Williams out to centre. Or if the injury toll is that bad, play around with Iongi/Moses and bring Volkman in as warm body ahead of Tago.
If Tago is picked then either our injury toll is going to be so dire, that we could just send you out there for same result, or Tago has found cracking run of form, which is good.

Cherry picking a very small sample of games there. You need to look at his career win rate overall, otherwise you're just pushing an agenda.

You already admitted most of our players were garbage. Now you refuse to blame them for playing poorly?

No finals is a completely different beast. This is when the legit contenders turn the heat up and squash the pretenders.

Hang on a second . Did you think weekly club games are played at the same intensity as finals games?
Silly sausage. That's a bush coach mentality.
