It's seems to me to be pretty easy to get a job as a political staffer though - you've just got to... be political, and willing to put up with shit treatment from your politician bosses. Sadly they're hardly actually qualified in any meaningful way about the topics for which they provide political advice.

under Howard, Australia had improved living standards, enacted gun laws, paid off the national debt , exchange rate was a reflection of economic management, and had a direction.. Sure he should have move aside for a Costello, but since his tenure the country has declined under Turnbull, Rudd, Gillard, ScoMo and now in the pits with the disastrous Albo, Chalmers, Bowen and Wong.

My experience of young liberals at university was that they were all "well-to-do", dishonest, scheming, racist and otherwise bigoted and in the case of the women, rabid feminist. The later is horrid especially in combo with all of the former.
