f**k them, replaceable, and that was borderline criminal negligence
Ive always harboured the feeling that teams in general dont have player welfare as their number 1 priority. The number of times during the season when players are cleared for HIA by their team doctors when its obvious they shouldnt be. This is an extreme version of this arrogance and its lucky that Eli is still with us.

No argument from me.

I was more worried about how it reflects on the club, and also whether any of our players have been at risk.

In particular the Cup and pathway lads who that doc was responsible for.

Latest act of the Tigers circus...

- Club owners have already identified Brad Arthur to replace Benji if they dont kick on next year.
- In response, 7 key players have said they'll leave if Benji quits or is sacked - Luai, Bula, both Mays, and the Fainu boys.

Story only notes Luai and Bula as having out options for '27, but if it all comes to head and the other 5 start agitating, the whole place would become radioactive. FMD what a tragic joint... poor Bunty will be wondering what the fk he's got himself into.

Players need to pull their collective heads in tbh, aside from Luiai they’ve achieved a collective f**k all, players don’t decide who the coaches are. Tbh the game needs some sort of reset so they honour their f**king contracts and act like professionals

Yea there's been far too much agitating over the years and been so frustrating to watch.

That said, this one feels messier than others.

I’m guessing here – but it could be that Benji isn’t just a coach they like playing for, but also the last remaining piece of stability they're clinging to after seeing everything around him get blown up.

If BA is indeed the replacement, they'd be silly to bail on him. By all accounts a good man and obviously enormously experienced.

But tbh, I can understand them wanting to bail on the club itself. Right now you couldn't trust them to grow ice on an iceberg.

I don’t really know what to make of this Tigers stuff tbh, it’s the cute thing for journos to do to completely pile into the Tigers

I’ve always regarded Shane Richardson as a snake of the game, but he has always had his mates in the media deflecting away from that

OT- the injury toll on the Blackcaps at the moment is absolutely unbelievable. You may normally get 1-2 players a season go down injured during a game and not carry on, we have had 4 in 3 innings

Think the quick bowling toll either injured or slowly working back now stands as

Henry
Smith
Tickner
Jamieson
Sears
Fisher
O’Rourke
Milne
Ferguson

Shit really? That’s rough. I saw the Windies somehow managed to bat out a day and a half to save the last test.. that injury toll have a lot to do with that?

I feel a bit traitorous following the Ashes more than our own lads playing at the same time, but I had no idea.

Yep, Matt Henry and Nathan Smith got injured during the game, and Jacob Duffy/Foulkes a sub-par Test bowler in Michael Bracewell had to shoulder the load.

They also dropped catches and burned reviews they needed later on

PVL to the rescue once again…

Bit of a smackdown moment for the owners though isn’t it.
It shows a bit of the media beat up and hammer down on the Tigers as well

Reading reports from the journos you’d think that all of a sudden the Tigers had backflipped themselves

Reading between the lines from those points from Chammas, Richardson was a decent size issue at the club, and his removal is a key factor to this decision

Richardson has plenty of mates in the media so you don’t hear much negative about him, much like Sticky

Harry Grant wins Golden Boot. Dylan Brown absolutely robbed imo

But no surprise I guess when 4 of the 5 judges are former Australia and England players, who would obviously be biased towards the Ashes series...
