New ground for Stokesy.

Now he has to bowl his arse off pursuing wickets. And if they want to have a real dig then Pope swaps with Stokes for the last innings.

Isha wants Stokes to open the bowling , probably no a bad idea

Poor bloke has to do everything, though Archer having a great test

Let him run the drinks and organise the next golf trip too.

He certainly has his hands full.

Umpire gives him not out because he thinks he hit it

Replay shows he didn't hit it, so they check ball tracking

Ball tracking says umpires call, referring to a call the umpire never made

It's a stupid quirk of the rules
Margin of error is fine but we’re not talking about a Lyon break here. Starc is bowling 150kms, the ball would knock the bails off just sneezing at the stump

My point is "umpires call" is meaningless in that situation when the umpire never made a call to start with

Wonder if they should look at a soft out call, ie umpire would have given it out if there is no bat

Gave away 50-70 runs this morning.

Head either wins this game quickly or puts us under pressure imo

Poms all out 286

85 run lead

You take that at the start of yesterday

Up to us to bat all day today, and have some good wickets in had tomorrow

Get by the new ball we really should see a centurion or two this innings tbh...

Can we actually do that , remains to be seen...

Took a while but got it done.

Lead of 85 is more than handy. I reckon a lazy 300 in this second innings will be enough to finish the match. But England will fancy their chances.

What I really want is a huge innings from someone 150 plus. Labs is well overdue at this point.

I'd open with Usman over Head but that's just me.
Against an old ball on this pitch he could slog away without a worry in the world.

We need to bat until tea tomorrow as I reckon this pitch will deteriorate badly by then. We saw signs of that this morning.

Labs 159 against SA here in Adelaide earlier this year in October.

This time he will make it 160. Labs prefers a round number.
