I can’t begin to think what Murphy’s non selection at the SCG will do to his confidence. The non selection was very odd. To the point they didn’t want to drop Green so shoehorned in Webster to lengthen the batting and be the spin option.
I wouldn’t drop Weatherald either but gut says he’ll be a sacrificial lamb. Typical CA dropping that doesn’t address the future. Fingers crossed for Jake.
Before the SCG test, Webster for Green and Murphy for Richardson would've been the two changes I would've liked to see.

Regarding Weatherald, I also feel that he will be put on the scrapheap where McSweeney and Konstas are.

I like Uzi but after Adelaide they had two tests to blood someone in be it McSweeny or Renshaw. He got his SCG farewell but I think we should’ve stayed ruthless.
I’ll also park it here but I think Lyon won’t play another test. Hazelwood maybe too as he turns 35 today. Gives CA perfect opportunity to rebuild.

Next test I see:

Head
Renshaw
Laubascagne
Smith
McSweeny
Green
Carey
Webster
Starc
Boland
Neser / Doggett / Richardson
The excessively loyalty the selectors have shown to underperforming players such as Warner and Khawaja is a far cry from the treatment players from previous generations such as Mark Waugh and Ian Healy got (some would say that Allan Border also didn't bow out on his own terms). 100+ tests each, but were not given any grand farewell home test or favourable media coverage at all. It was "ok, see ya later.......NEXT!"

Amazing how much shit that gets covered up comes out in the aftermath

SMH reporting Harry Brook got into a drunken altercaltion with a bouncer in Wellington a night before an ODI which he was captain and they got flogged in that game on the pre ashes white ball tour of NZ in October.

ECB fined him $60k AUD but only telling the world now

Apparently Davey said in an interview that players these days need to be communicated with and cuddled and Ronald and George do that really well apparently. What a load of hot 🐓. Ronald lost me when he wanted Uzi to continue. As I have said previously why bother having selectors like George who obviously agree with Ronald. Every dog has their day and Uzi played two years too long as did Davey.
