Yea im here to poke a stick at south’s supporters. Footy is all about the banter. Suck it up. Again im here talk footy. I gave my honest opinion on why south’s are going backwards. The response from you south’s supporters has been unfunny, uncreative and telling me I don’t belong..Look at all the south’s supporters that post on the dragons page. WTF
South’s record last 10 years
4 preliminary finals
1 grand final

Dragons last 10 years
1 finals appearance (2018)

Forever in our shadow

Then talk actual footy not complete rubbish! I wouldn’t be talking if you’re a Dragons fan! Look how you have gone of late too!
lol souffs would of won another comp if they prioritised Reyno. Blake solly is the problem. Iv been saying for a many years now. Souffs are on a backwards trajectory and I love it… it’s great
You see rabbits 20. My original post was talking footy. But your right dragons have gone deadset shit for a long time now. You made a point regarding the footy. Well done

Enjoyed it the first episode of the year! Worth the watch!

- The lads talk about the passing of Joyce.
- Keaon is fully discussed. Dragons deal is not far off 6million with the cap rising and clauses in the deal.
- They talk about David Fifita and where we play him.
- Wighton there is a clause in his deal in the clubs favour whether they keep him or not for 2027.
- Philip Lava came in at 136kg but is now 126kg. He won every award at the SG Ball training camp. Will start at SG ball I’d say then move up to Flegg.
- Chaps describes Elijah Keung as like a Spencer Leniu kind of player. Keung the club have high hopes for the young lad.
- They also talk about who we could target upcoming and discuss what kind of fowards we should be looking at.

That’s not even half of it well worth the watch!

You've had a few well credentialed forward prospects come from Qld and not go on with it (Vailalo, Hallie) so hopefully Elijah can change that.

Might have to wait a couple years for the next direct Keaon replacement though. Will wait to see who makes your final junior rep sides.

I see your point but Vailalo isn’t even playing top grade qld cup so he clearly wasn’t up for the challenge. Hallie injuries has been an issue which clearly helped him become discouraged with league and look elsewhere for a career. Could souths have done more? Maybe but where their careers have gone can’t be blamed on souths development.
This argument just gives the mockingbirds more ammunition to incorrect recruitment

Campbell didn’t train today with the foot injury. Graham Taufa also must’ve picked up some sort of injury.

Tass was there walking quite well.

Kosi looking better now but needs to lose more weight.

Fifita was a beast again and very vocal. Keaon trained the house down and was enormous.

On another note Soni Luke was a standout and outshone Mamouzelos. Soni looked much sharper good at getting out of dummy half too and his long passing game is better and more crisp than Pete.

On the wing Penitani blitzed Munro with his pace a couple of times.

Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray backs star signing David Fifita to succeed at Souths

In a wide-ranging interview, Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray has backed star recruit David Fifita to succeed, while opening up on his injury woes, and making a stark admission over the NRL’s controversial rule changes.

South Sydney recruit David Fifita is set to explode at his new club after five wretched years on the Gold Coast.

That’s the opinion of Rabbitohs captain, Cameron Murray, who says Fifita has blown him away with the way he’s tackled his first pre-season in red and green.

Speaking at an Asics ā€˜shoe swap’ event at Centennial Park in Sydney on Saturday morning, Murray gave a comprehensive update on the Rabbitohs’ 2026 plans, declaring teammate Brandon Smith is ā€œlooking phenomenalā€ and one of three players vying to start at hooker, and Latrell Mitchell also yet to be locked into a position in the backline.

Fifita is one of the NRL’s most underperformed players, but Souths believe they’ve signed a sleeping giant who can finally awaken under the magic tutelage of supercoach, Wayne Bennett.

Murray warned NRL rivals that Fifita has recovered well from his foot injury and is ready to make his mark.

He’s really good. He’s really impressed me,ā€ Murray said as a brand ambassador for Asics new GEL-NIMBUS 28 runners, which were being handed out for free at Centennial Park on Saturday in exchange for old runners to be sent off for recycling.

ā€œHe’s coming with a great attitude. He was there to get his foot right when he started, and he didn’t leave any stone unturned with his rehab and was working hard in the gym.

ā€œThen once he got out onto the field, he’s been all guns blazing.

ā€œHe seems happy and he seems like he’s getting fitter and it seems like he wants to get back to his best footy and there’s no doubt that he’ll get the opportunity to do that here at the club.ā€

Murray said Souths were still weighing up the best positions to unleash strike weapons Brandon Smith and Latrell Mitchell.

ā€œBrandon was coming off that knee injury, so regardless of how hard you trained you in that rehab of an ACL, you’re always going to be a little bit underdone,ā€ Murray said.

ā€œ(This pre-season) he’s looking phenomenal, so hopefully Cheese (Smith) is back to his best.

ā€œI think (Latrell’s best position) is still being weighed up, to be honest.

ā€œThere’s lots of experiments getting thrown around at training at the moment.

ā€œBecause we’ve got such a star studded squad, it’s just about getting them in the right positions and making sure that we’re playing to each other’s strengths.

ā€œI don’t envy the coaches, having to choose a team because there’s so much talent. Everyone is fighting and training hard and pushing for spots.ā€

Murray declined to give an opinion on the NRL’s controversial proposed change to the kick-off rule – which South Sydney coach Bennett has been the biggest advocate for.

However, the Test and Origin lock admits it will significantly change the game.

Bennett is yet to discuss the mooted rule change with his players, despite his public support for the benefits of the team that has had a try scored against them to receive the ball off the subsequent kick-off.

ā€œHe doesn’t talk much, you know,ā€ Murray said.

ā€œIt’s got to be a pretty big change. I can’t remember the last time the kick-off rule got changed in rugby league. If it does get changed, it’ll be a pretty big change and because of the weight that it holds, there will be a fair bit of tactics involved and strategy.

ā€œIt’s definitely something we’re going to have to think about and try and figure out what’s best for us. I think it will have a big impact on the game.ā€

Murray said man-mountain Fifita is one opposition player he has always wished was on his team.

ā€œAfter all these years of trying to tackle him, it’ll be nice to have him next to me,ā€ Murray said.

ā€œHis attitude (has impressed me most). That mentality of trying to get better every day and turning up, giving your best, and that’s what I’ve seen from him.

ā€œThat’s the best indicator he’s given himself the best chance to play good footy.ā€

Murray said he feels he has ā€œblown the cobwebs outā€ after returning from an Achilles injury for the final round last season – but admits he will still be nervous running out for the new campaign, given the severity of what he has come back from.

ā€œI’m as confident as I can be. There’s still going to be nerves, no doubt. Probably more than normal for the start of the season, because of how much footy I missed last year,ā€ he said.

ā€œBut I’ve given myself the best chance and I’m just trying to be as calm as I can be with my mind.ā€

Matt Dufty has signed for Souths on a NSW Cup contract.

I think it is a no brainer for Souths. The man can score AND create points. His defence is among the worst starting fullbacks of the modern era but he has only played in shit systems under Barrett, McGregor and Burgess. Bennett can only be good for him.

A good depth signing. I think we will
Have better depth this season. All the good
Teams have depth
Instead of bringing roookies in we’ve got
Blokes Like Dufty and Elliot . Although no world
Beaters they’ve got Plenty of experience
