As with the case of most Matts games this year they’ve turned it over on the kickoff set. An early six again sees the Tigers pepper our line and almost score from a shallow grubber behind our line, however ref rules a knock on.

Eels just hold again with Seuseu fielding another grubber & somehow getting back into the field of play. Balmain seem to be physically on top so far. A penalty to the home side sees them go on the attack once again but it comes to naught with and error.

That’s better!! Parra extend their lead as they march down the middle of the field with incisive runs from Sorenson & Bell. And it’s that man Bell who breaks & spins through the line for a try. Conversion successful.

He has been our best again not only ball playing he is running good lines while taking hit ups he is then backing up on breaks..

The Tigers have hit back with their 5/8th breaking through our right edge defence after the Eels had wasted some opportunities up the other end of the field. Conversion unsuccessful.

Oh Eels let off the hook just before half time! Tigers had worked a nice block player to get and over lap but winger couldn’t handle the pass for what would’ve been a certain try.
