I actually think souths should play all their games there as well. But less dragons games, maybe 3-4 and the rest at WIN.

I don’t think this is over the top, we need to make the most of this centrally located state of the art stadium.

At least if sharks and manly moved a few bigger games each there.

Wests tigers and bulldogs could share Accor.
Yep. Tigers when they played loads of matches at Accor got good crowds. They really need to consign Leichardt to 1 match a year and Campbelltown to say 3 a year. Rest at Accor. Dragons could also look to take 3-5 to Accor and reduce Kogarah to 1 match a year. Having tenants at Accor then makes a great case for why it should be upgraded and the NRL should be nudging clubs that way.

Yep these suburban venues need to be related to:
- nrlw
- heritage round
- pre season trials

yeah fair enough

do you think the dragons would ever do an 8 Win, 4SFS split and bail on kogarah all together?

That would set the old Return to Kogarah folk off - if they're still around

Just the one match a year is enough. Bit like how the Bulldogs do it. With Titans and Bears in the comp next year, they are the best candidates for playing against at those grounds. Lower expected crowd offset with a throwback ground to maximise what would tend to be a lower drawing game.

Yep one game at kogarah is fine against the titans. Then negotiate with the government about moving more games at WIN on the proviso of getting the major upgrade that’s being planned. Result would be 8 at WIN, 3 at Allianz, 1 at kogarah.

It is a budget stadium. Not sure anyone was expecting much more.
That’s the plebs side

Pretty sure the corporate side has decent roof cover

Premier is a tosser for not providing enough money to do it properly given the population boom out there

But he’s got money to waste on stupid stuff all the time

Yes this is not the stadium we were after and it falls short in particular in the roof coverage. However looking on the positive, it is more covered seats compared to the old stadium. East old stand was 3,100 covered vs new at 4,500. West old stand was 2,000 covered vs new stand at 4,100. Overall the new stadium covered seats increases by 3,500.

The initial design of the new east stand catered for more covered seats (eg larger roof), however this was scaled back due to complaints from neighboring development about the height/scale of the stand. The newer design they are building to, while east is less seats/less roof, the west became bigger.

Given how steep the stand is the level of roof cover actually looks a bit better than previous photo

Yes, but based on how it looks, any breeze from in front or the sides and those under the "roof" will most likely still get soaked.

I can't wait for the delusional pollies to open the stadium grandstanding about what a world class facility they have delivered for the local community.
