attacking game aside he has this big dick attitude that a lot of kids lack at that age, nothing seems to phaze him, that is until he gets KO'd by a Fifita, Crighton and Kikau...

he needs a full season against men in reggies.
Interesting Stags. A lot of people I heard talking up Fletcher as overtaking him until last week. He is much more of a traditional 7 though is he not? And Lorenzo much more a 6?

What’s the difference between him and Joash as I think Joash could be a good NRL player as he really looks good.

Also where do you think Volkman sits here?

PS I can’t believe we are comparing 3 young guys IN OUR CLUB over a future halves position, that’s unreal.

Joash and Renz?

Renz has footy smarts, he's got the attacking smarts thqat I think Joash lacks although Joash has about 18 months of seasoned development in front of Renz.

Fletch is an out and out 7 and and will need to bide his time although we may be in a situation in 2 years where we need to try and ofload Moses to keep him.

not a bad problem to have in that area.

imo our spine, now and for the next 3 or 4 years is in good shape, that is if the coaching staff do their job properly.

I think Nathan Brown looks atfer our spine but I would love for us to get a fulltime spine coach who's a former 7 rather than 9., Kimmorely, Cronk or Joey would be good.

I like Blaize and hope he becomes a superstar. But unsure if he is that level. Maybe just a solid player at this stage. Lets see how he does this year. Its a big season.
On trials that halfback you got from Canberra actually looked very talented. Suprised Rocky let him go for Sanders tbh.
No superstar yet, I think will be a decent first grader, with occasional flashes of brilliance and dud moments

I assume we are trying to develop them differently based on their relative strengths and the pathway available. Moses will have a few more years but 7. Fletcher 6. Lorenzo sounds like the long term succession plan.

Lorenzo is not much bigger than Joash or the same. So whilst NRL 5/8s are getting bigger, our two options are small. That doesn't mean that skill can't counteract size.

On the upside Lincoln Fletcher looks like he will be quite a big lad when he grows up.

As a smart Eel once said in a podcast, you're far better off having these players on your books rather than trying to sign them up.
Their size means f**king nothing. If they know how to play, then they will be great. Lots of clubs passed over Thurston because he was too small etc etc.

Joash will never succeed at 5/8 because he’s not a 5/8. He’s more suited to Fullback. Lorenzo, jury is still out to see how he plays with his passing, and defensive games.

the dog father has just said we have top 4 potential
I don't know if its the haircut but Gus doesn't look as well then from what i have seen of him previously.

His face looks like his lost a bit chubbyness around it.

Maybe his been on a strong diet in the off-season.

Interesting he said Ciraldo blew up the Dogs have 3 weeks between the 1st game in Vegas and there 2nd game in round 3 in Canberra due to a bye in round 2.

Imagine his opinion on the skinny , slim and smallish Steve Ella having to defend in the centres agst big forwards If only he had been bigger, he would have been decent. . Oh dear

Isn't that what I said about his size ?

I'm definitely impressed but not yet conviced about Bamblett.

He very much has stepped up this year.
He probably is still SG ball eligible again next year as well.

I think with Bamblett if he is going to come into the first grade squad it will probably he on the wing or centre ( much like Jaxson Purdue) but I think he will come through the grades first.

Fletcher is a player we really need to keep... he also needs to develop his game though and not be rushed, he probably will take Volkamns spot next year...
If we have to play him and Lorenzo in first grade in 2027 we will be in trouble with experience...

We have Bamblett, Lorenzo,Twiddle and Fletcher all first grade potential in halves. All hVe grwat potential but it would be highly doubtfull that all will make surely?
It’s a numbers game. All have potential but possibly none of them will make it. Most likely is that one or two of them play 200 games.
