It's far from over IMO - "without written consent" is the key wording here. Storm and Parra will come to an agreement at some point - but running through this in court wouldn't be in the best interest of anyone particularly with both teams kicking off their seasons in 2 days.

Melbourne had 2 months to give up what we asked for and didn't want too.

So unless Storm are prepared to meet our terms its not happening.

We didn't want to take it to court but didn't have a choice.

They may come back later in the year but its pretty obvious we want a player with similar value and unless Storm are prepared to give it up.

They will have to wait for 2 years and hope no other club offers someone we may want and Lomax goes and plays there.

Unless Lomax has to pay Parra's legal costs and Melbourne said they will pay Lomax's costs so Melbourne have to pay both Parra's and Lomax's legal costs.

more accurate - but they indemnified Lomax's costs - I would say it was a tripartite agreement that they will pay Parra's costs.
