To be fair I reckon I could have won this case considering there appears to be a shitload of incriminating evidenceWoohoo
They put the right of pressure
That Moses lawyer is a gun , ripped them all to shreds
Agree. He’s absolutely goosed himself on this one.I reckon PVL has been great for the game but on this matter he really needs to STFU!!
The more he opens his mouth the more and stupid he looks. He should be more worried about who fitted that hair piece. As a bald man myself I am utterly embarrassed and appalled.
Why would Matterson refuse? Weren’t they going to just pay him out and release him? He would never have had to go there.
ThisWow congrats to Parra for standing their ground. Glad to see that occasionally the morally right outcome wins out.
I'm guessing that court case would have dished out some juicy tidbits neither Zac or the Storm wanted out in public.
See ya Zac, you clown.
They were desperate for it not to go to court and that was their peace offering to get that
otherwise the scandal would have been outrageous. $250k is hush money to make it go awayReally? You can’t see a possible outcome of the blowtorch comment that would’ve been monumentally scandalous? Typical MelbourneCan someone enlighten me into what the Storm and NRL could possibly be hiding in relation to this matter?
I've seen hundreds of people suggest that Storm folded because they didn't want anything aired out in court, but if that were the case why did we offer to cover Lomax's legal fees in order for it to go before the courts?
What could the NRL and Storm have done that was so controversial with relation to Zac Lomax? Aside from Trips' text to "apply the blowtorch" (which I admit isn't the best look) I've seen nothing to suggest any monumental scandal.
Seems to me like we tried our luck and Parra wouldn't be strongarmed. That's it?
It was just the identity of the person who fitted PVL’s hair piece. Would of been utterly embarrassing if that ever got out.Can someone enlighten me into what the Storm and NRL could possibly be hiding in relation to this matter?

maybe this isn't the first time the storm have asked the nrl to apply the blowtorch which raises the question who else has copped the hot end: other teams? referees? Can someone enlighten me into what the Storm and NRL could possibly be hiding in relation to this matter?

the timing is suspicious as soon as the eels announced they were subpeonaing the nrl suddenly the storm went from outright belligerent to very agreeableOn the flip side why would the Storm take it so far pay for Lomax lawyer and then fold like a pack of cards prior to the hearing and after the Eels got the evidence![]()

I don’t think we lost the deal but I agree that final deal should’ve been the one they put out months ago and I’d have been happy with itIf im being honest the 400k off our salary cap to presumably front load some other contracts to set us up for 2027 does sound very appealing and i can understand why we wouldve wanted to do it. The 300k transfer also wouldve been great for our pathway programs. So although im glad we stuck to our guns, i think the end proposal from the storm was quite good and its a shame matto is a merkin who will do anything to avoid playing.

the offer going to f**k all to almost Lomax’s annual salary seems more than just they thought they would loseI’d take him for Lomax but only for a couple of years at Lomax’s unconfirmed contract value which is $700k a season. Any more and we are paying overs.Final side note - so we trying to trade for Mitch B this season or what? Otherwise i havent heard many other players wanting to come back to sydney or leave their current club.
