If he’s acting as a broker/mediator I have no problem - trying to help both sides find a middle ground is fine with me. If he’s going to determine what a fair offer is and force Parra to accept - yeah nah, he’s overstepping.On what legal basis is PVL going to "intervene"? The NRL were not a party to Lomax's contact between Lomax and Parramatta, nor to his agreement releasing Lomax from that contract. He may seek "alternate" employment opportunities, but he's pushing shit up hill if he thinks he can block it outright.
Frankly, PVL's stance on this is making him into a mockery.
Parra have an agreement with him that he won’t sign with another NRL club before season 2028, an agreement both parties have agreed to. It’s up to Parra to waive that should the right offer come along. It is not up to Parramatta to look out for the good of the game. There’s a Mitch Barnett ckming soon to the negotiation table - maybe Zac can go and play for the Wahs.
