Weird cause looking at Storm's line up. They have a lot of "filler" players. Yet they still do the job and run/tackle hard all night. Going over the team before the game and a lot of no names. The culture is to play every game like a state of origin or grand final
Surely it's not that hard to fire up a team before each game? We never have that fire in the belly. 80's Parra players should be everywhere in the club. Including the dressing rooms before games. Geoff Bugden was my Harold Matt's coach and he could sure fire everyone up. He'd make us pay for losing games. We won the comp without having the greatest players. Only Gallen went on to play first grade

Pvl ball doesn't help the team under assault at all. I'd just kick the ball out at the end of each set. Bring the game to a grinding halt.

Hopefully we see some Tuivati next week. The reason we beat brissie last year was because we completed our sets, kicked to corners and put immense pressure on them. So hopefully we can switch the f**k on and do it next week. I hope Ryles destroys them post game and punishes them during training. Shit is not okay

There was a lot of circumstances where things didn't go our way tonight, but you can still learn alot about your level of resilience capabilities. We failed in this regard.

You could see this result coming at half time and I predicted we'd do well to keep them to under 50 then. We were lucky Grant got injured or it probably would've been more than 60.

It's all very well to be able to perform when there is no pressure on you, but if you can't deliver when it matters then you're destined to be making up the numbers towards the bottom of the ladder. The only player missing from our best 17 is the Foxx. He wouldn't have made a lot of difference tonight.

I didn't even know Simonsson was playing until he got sin binned. Seriously that was the only thing he did all night.

One player from the interchange getting 10 minutes, and two players getting less than 20 is just pure f**ken dumb and that's on the coaching staff. An utter cluster f**k.

Have we improved greatly in 12 months. The scoreline would indicated not really.

I thought we'd struggle to make the 8 before the season starts, but I'm certain we'll struggle now.

I've got the Storm missing the Top 8 too, so I'm not sure what that says for where we are. It could be a long season ahead.

Ryles has a lot to do with tonight's performance, he wants to play this style that requires a lot of cohesion and a lot of ball movement.

They need to find balance between the short pass/offload and the tuck and run

The big worry coming from this performance is where does the improvement come from? Early on there were some decent signs with ball in hand, but lots of ball movement makes for a high risk, (potentially) high reward game. And when it goes to shit, you end up with a completion rate like we had.

The go-forward was just shocking, essentially non-existent. Edges were also ordinary, Kautoga is in the bottom handful of back-rowers in the game

Looks like a long season ahead.

That was a 13 Stooges loss, simple as that. Poor ball control, ill discipline, no direction, zero leadership combined with lacklustre performances from most of our spine as well as some merkin reffing. It was a potpourri effort by our part. There were no excuses this time for the blowout.
