They own their own ground and a golf course and a shopping centre I believe.

It really is the noose around their neck. They have to stay because they have too much invested there, and the NRL own the hotel that presumably does alright off Sharks home games.

But really they should leave the shire and go somewhere else

i'd say the missing 7k is largely made up of Suncorp stadium members, not club members so not sure if there's a way they can hand their seat over for single events?

Yo! Yep, you can pass your stadium membership on if you can't go - there is a portal to email the ticket.

There were quite a few Broncos members missing in the 'premiership club' sections in level 5 behind the post ($1k per year membership!) but they get access to the northern end corporate rooms, so might have been in the aircon. It was another crowd that felt like 47k, even without anything to cheer for lol.

Stadium members are now half of the level 3 bays from 318 - 325 (added 318 & 325 this year) and level 5 from 518-525.

Why don't the Sharks play most of their home games at Allianz Stadium with just one or two at Shark Park? 11k for a first round home game is just pathetic.

Roosters probably wouldn't let them.

Plonk Allianz stadium in the Shire, I'd bet we're talking 20k.

We really need to get our act together as a code around Stadium facilities.
Id suggest we just set minimum standards for the bulk of all NRL games, like 80%. Then set a time frame for that to be implemented, say 2 years.
So in 2028 ..80% of all home games for all clubs will be played 20k seated modern stadiums, no exceptions.

This madness has to end.

Pretty rough at this stage. Looks like a miracle required for 20k given that rain is forecast.

They don't own the stadium, the SCG Trust do.

Manly attendance pattern is so good these days that they'd average 20k if the capacity was 22k. Last 2 years they've averaged 16.5k and 16.4k with a ceiling around 17.4k

They could easily get 18-19000 in there these days if OH&S wasn't so savage.
Don't forget that the record crowd at Brookvale is over 27 000 in 1986.

Yellow - away bay to sell

i feel like the Broncos have gotten it wrong with prices and jacked their prices up a year too early. I think they could've kept demand up and sold out every game in 2026, then in 2027...you get a situation like the Warriors where you need to look weeks in advance to ensure tickets...and scarcity kicks in.

i feel like the Broncos have gotten it wrong with prices and jacked their prices up a year too early. I think they could've kept demand up and sold out every game in 2026, then in 2027...you get a situation like the Warriors where you need to look weeks in advance to ensure tickets...and scarcity kicks in.

Yep. We’ve kicked the away team up there and are selling the traditional away bay (317) as diamond and $179-189 a pop. It’s wild.
