The Dragons should swap Sloan for Lomax with the contract to end in 2028.

It has been a while hasnt it.. all off-season and just the 1 bloke all be it a good one! 2 spots still free to sign 'something' in weeks/months to come... maybe someone not playing first grade will come..When was the last rumour that speared on this thread ?

Agree. But are we smart enough to target the right ones?Hopefully.
With the way some clubs are stockpiling players, surely there are a few that would prefer to be starting?
So at a time when the club is trying to build a new long term culture you think our recruiting strategy should include "pouncing" on players who have been released because of off-field issues? Wow.Saints waiting possibly for a off field incident to blow up and media to pounce forcing a club to release the player, then Siants can pounce. Somehow all players seem to be behaving well.
What ended up happening to the fullback Iongi and Parra? I read something that there was a social media video clip of him rolling a joint or smoking one and the the clip was passed to the NRL integrity unit a week or so ago, and next thing he is playing on Thursday. So obviously swept under the carpet like Trindall last year.
Beer ?Here you go. A rumour for this thread from FoxSports....
"Elsewhere, Knights enforcer Trey Mooney reportedly was ready to confront the Dragons and captain Clint Gutherson in a separate incident prior to the Las Vegas games.
Dragons security reportedly stepped in to ensure Mooney could not get close to the squad, and it remains unclear why the prop was angered.
The NRL reportedly have no concerns around the incident as no physical confrontation took place."

Plus a member of Beverley Park.Rumours are that Latrell Mitchell is a good mate of Keon and he lives in Ramsgate in the St George area his contract ends in 2028 at the age 30 years .
This is the opportunity that the Dragons have been waiting for ! After his time at the Rorters and the Wabbits he will be primed to play the best footy of his career and where else, but at the Big Red Vee ! Jump in now and secure his services, his experience alone would be worth the money - Wayne Bennett may come along with him as another assistant coach to Flanagan- the sky will be the limit !Rumours are that Latrell Mitchell is a good mate of Keon and he lives in Ramsgate in the St George area his contract ends in 2028 at the age 30 years .

Don't we train in Wollongong so still a fair distance to travel?Rumours are that Latrell Mitchell is a good mate of Keon and he lives in Ramsgate in the St George area his contract ends in 2028 at the age 30 years .
Why not run a one-stop fast train between Central and the Gong on training nights? Get WIN Corp and Squadran to sponsor the train.Don't we train in Wollongong so still a fair distance to travel?
Theres already an hourly express service between the gong and Central each way. Stops at Nth Gong, Thirroul, the Burgh, Sutho, Hurstville, Wolli Ck., Redfern. An hour an 4 minutes Hurstville to the gongWhy not run a one-stop fast train between Central and the Gong on training nights? Get WIN Corp and Squadran to sponsor the train.
Lawd forbid possum ! Mate that is the last thing you want , you will have those bloody E- bike riders queuing the Central station platform with those infernal contraptions and jumping on board with the players , next thing you know they will be riding up and down the main street of the ‘ gong and finally tearing up the sacred turf of WIN stadium itself !Why not run a one-stop fast train between Central and the Gong on training nights? What off field issues did Cook and Gutherson have? Clubs release players to free cap space so they are the type of player you can pounce on. I know Cook and Gutho and not young anymore but they were still good players to bring to the club and better than what they had. Players also get disgruntled when they are not getting a fair go.So at a time when the club is trying to build a new long term culture you think our recruiting strategy should include "pouncing" on players who have been released because of off-field issues? Wow.
I think you have misread both your own post and my response. Gutho and Cook are both cleanskins and have both improved our team. I agree. Your original post speculated that we might be waiting on players released for off field stuff which would be harmful to the culture we're trrying to build IMO.What off field issues did Cook and Gutherson have? Saints seem more selective now in players they are bringing in so they won't bring in a guy if he will be bad for their culture as we saw Hunt being told to go. Old Saints would have brought in Matt Lodge and The Cheese on big bucks but these days they are not showing any interest in these type of guys.
OK lets go with choppers.Theres already an hourly express service between the gong and Central each way. Stops at Nth Gong, Thirroul, the Burgh, Sutho, Hurstville, Wolli Ck., Redfern. An hour an 4 minutes Hurstville to the gong
