Parra is offering a Mutual Option for a 3rd year.Yeah, a club option at likely lower $$
we’d just gone the whole hog with 3 years straight up at exorbitant $$

Geez we are already going bad enough without inviting Hayne into the squad aren’t we?Penisini is frustrating isn't he. If he had more pace I think he would be elite. He did some good things against Storm. I think we need an outside backs coach (maybe Hayne). Get him in to coach the outside backs from 1st through to Harold Matthews.
New rule: teams can only kick from inside their own halfThere are way too many bombs. Any rule making bombs less worth doing is good.

Club option would be higher than a player option but it wouldnt be higher than the previous years Contract, it would be lower.Club option would be higher. Player option would be lower.
Tigers are reigning Rugby League Sevens champions. Its the reason we have sucked for 13 years.Well we had won the preseason trophy. Our guys are drunk on that success.

For an older player, probably. But that describes the later years of an older player’s contract anyway. It would be front loaded. That’s likely where this $900k figure comes from. We have cap space and are probably offering a front loaded first year. The second year (and option year) could be significantly less.Club option would be higher than a player option but it wouldnt be higher than the previous years Contract, it would be lower.
Holy inflation BatmanBarnett’s plans to take up a two year, $2.4 million deal at Brisbane.
Holy inflation Batman
You can have a team made up entirely of 6 or 7 out of 10 players but it’s not going to win you a title. You need a few 9 or 10s.Why, because they arent good enough?
That probably includes the 3rd year option.I was about to post that 2.4 mi for 2 years I hope its true but know its not..
Done deal - Barnett to Broncos
The Broncos have landed their Payne Haas replacement after representative star Mitch Barnett agreed to join Brisbane from next year.
It is understood that Manly and Parramatta have been told of Barnett’s plans to take up a two year, $2.4 million deal at Brisbane.
Barnett played under Brisbane coach Michael Maguire for NSW.
The Warriors have indicated they want compensation in order to formally release Barnett from the final year of his deal.
Brisbane and the Warriors will now work towards formalising the arrangement.
Barnett is due to return from a knee injury within the next fortnight.
The Eels offered Barnett a two year deal.
The Dragons were the other club to have an interest and spoke with Barnett. However they did not make a formal offer.
