Only the Roosters have won the week after playing the Panthers. Every other team has lost the following week.
Roosters beat Manly before they sacked their coach.

That's happened 4 out of 5 weeks roughly for five years now. We bash teams and drain them which usually takes extra time to recover. Trouble is they have to front up within 7 days...

Yes and got owned by a NSW cup player. He isnt why they lost. Parra just played with more energy. Burton missed some easy tackles. And Kikaumhas played his best footy. Still can have big games but he ain't the same

Curran didn’t have a great game but the Eels won because they worked hard and fully deserved there win.

I spent a bit of time scrolling thru the Kennel forum after the Eels win and it was an interesting read particularly in expect of Chrichton, Kikau and Burton. Worth a bit of a look if you have plenty of spare time.

I have gone on the Kennel a long time ago and had a read. The discussions they have are chaotic and make little sense. Lots of random swearing. Has it changed?

I’m not sure, there thoughts on our former players are interesting though.

I remember when Gould used to say Burton will be the best of the lot.
I dont think he ever reached those heights. His defense is average. He has a big boost and a good step. Thats basically it. Could be a great centre but he is an average half.
Kikau for me is on the slide. Still capable of big moments and the odd big game but he isnt the same.

Kikau has been very poor this year - should be benched IMO - he looks gassed 10 mins into the 1st half and well off the pace.

typically his game against Penrith was not only his best this season - but one of his best ever in a canterbury jersey

wonder if Gus got Freddy vibes from Burton as a kid and talked him up - certainly nowhere near the player/talent Freddy was

They have a kid called Conti who looks very good. Halfback.
Then there is Woods. Its going to be interesting to see which ones they pass on and if any become good players. Like Alamoti and Averilo.

Galvin is highly skilled but his long kicking game just isn't good enough to be elite. Like Walker they cant kick it far and high enough.

Look at Cleary,Moses,Fogarty, Katoa for example. Even young Sanders has a boom kick on him. Blaize also a bigger boot.

If they keep the wrong guys and dont perform things will turn sour fast.

It's nearly as much fun as watching the Dragons drama show, BUT, nothing beats watching Parramatta unravel trying to break their 40 year drought.

Makes me a very happy old Panthers fan.
