So parts of the NRL aren’t manufactured some say? Let’s run an eye over the Alex Johnson record setting last night.
Last week at Suncorp he scored a single try against the Dolphins where his team scored 40 points. Unlikely but ok.
This week, in Sydney, against their biggest rival, on free to air tv, Infront of 40K, with the PM in attendance, he just happens to score 2 tries against a team who said they wouldn’t let him score at all.
The timing of the first try sets up anticipation for the second half. Viewers stay on for the half time adverts. Woah!!! He scores in the first minute of H2!!! A perfect time as players can go off and effectively have a 40 minute HT break without too much impact while they clear the field. Sounds like something the roosters would agree with right?
I’m not done.
Why would the roosters let that happen, what do the get out of the deal that’s been struck? Why change the scoreboard the way they did staying “visiting team”, oh the drama!!! Well they got the 2 points didn’t they. One must wonder, literally the perfect way for it to play out don’t you think?
But Oz, it looked legit and even if he didn’t get it last night he would against the tigers next week at the South’s home game. You mean the one up at GOSFORD?????!!!!
Did anyone buy that last night??
