Someone reminded me today

Greg Inglis was charged with assauting his missus 4 weeks out from the finals in 2009.

Greg Bird in 2008 was stood down for the finals for a similar offence.

GI was given a 2 week break he got to freshen up the body and brought back for the finals and went on a rampage.

This day and age his stood down until the court case is finalised.

If Inglis doesnt play in the 2009 GF how much does the result change.

Well massively he scored a crucial try and kicked the winning FG.

I've no doubt that we will be up for the game.

But we don't have the fitness, or professionalism, that you do.

It's going to get ugly for us...

Anyone who knows me would be aware Im not a crap on Parra follower.

I want your club to do well, I respect your enormous fan base.

I certainly don’t want you to beat us on Saturday but I actually want good things to come your way.

I think recruitment is an issue, the boardroom, I think you have issues to overcome sadly before your time will come again.

Where did you work with him ? Are you comfortable with the way he treats people ? Again it says a lot about you and why you need to lurk on an eels forum when you could be with like minded tigers fans

Believe the board is ok, administration is also good as seen by COE, pathways , education etc. unfortunately the club doesn’t seem to have a sort of alpha recruitment specialist, the club has been devoid of backs depth for a few seasons despite having a list manager ( no evidence that’s been good ) , and a club our size really needs to sell the vision and direction of ourselves against our peers. Not sure where the cap gets spent with the players in the roster, so someone to sort that out so we can play at the top end.That’s the big issue and until it’s resolved , the club won’t get to where is probably should be.

It actually means alot to Parra fans that there are a few panther fans that actually respect our team , being just my opinion, Brisbane might be Premiers, though the panthers love or hate them are the bench mark by a long way

To be honest if we get done by twenty points or under we have done well, I don’t like talking like this because I have expectations of my team in every game we play, and that is to win….hence the excruciating pain this team puts us through, year in year out….it’s bloody exhausting but we keep coming back for more, go figure 🤷🏼‍♂️

Its none of your business where I worked with him and in my experience, I am more than comfortable with the way he treats people. In my experience I have genuinely seen him treat people with nothing to add for him, exceptionally well. I was actually shocked at his people skills and seriously impressed.

Thats twice now that you have said "it says a lot about me" with absolutely zero information or facts on which to base an opinion of me.

That actually does say a lot about you.

You're a class act, mate.

I have been jealous, but so in awe, of what the Panthers have achieved.

The best club in NRL history, easily - it's incredible what you've achieved, and given the investments that the club made, it was well-earned.

I'm hopeful that we are starting that same track - solid coaching staff with a good vision, investing in juniors...hopefully, it pays off.

Honestly, if we go out there, and compete, I'll be proud.

I know we lack that class across the park to trouble the great teams, but if we put everything into it, and compete, I can say I am a proud Eels fan.

I totally agree.

Brisbane can claim they won 2025, but the team to beat are easily the mighty Panthers - incredible start to the season by them.

Not to belittle your four in a row or anything, it’s a hell of an achievement even the Scum at the height of their cheating couldn’t go back to back, but if there’s any other team that should have the junior stock to match what you’ve done it should be us. We just don’t have the people in place to bring that through. It’s a crying shame we are going to have pissed away the prime years of Moses without anything around him to actually be a proper threat.

I think overall we're doing ok with the exception of recruitment and retention at the top level which has been nothing short of shit for a few years.
