Big day today with two sold out crowds in store!!

What’s your take for a crowd guesstimate for Suncorp @SLRBRONCOS ?
A really nice cool change is due to hit Brisbane around 5pm, so that will get some more of the stadium members keen. I'm sitting with them on level 5 again so am keen to see how busy it compares to round 1, which was, the most oppressive humidity I have ever sat in to date - dew point was around 24c (feels like was approx 37-39) which is just not liveable for anything other than tropical plants, IMO! Take me back to the 3c at Canberra Stadium (ignore the venue)!

7pm kick off rules out a few because of timing.

Still 45k. 8pm kick off and I'd say 46k, but probably 45k again.

I think I read they were expecting 46k which is a shame they cannot come up with a system that fills the other 6k seats. Especially when they have 70000 members
The issue is that Broncos full ticketed members treat their membership like a gym membership - IE - go when you feel like it, or when it is convenient for you. The buy back system will help, but it will take a bit of time for them to get used to it.

Stadium member no shows continue to shave 2k+ off of each crowd too.

Bulldogs are running a kids go free promotion for Saturday's game against the Knights.
Will admit I'm not a huge fan of counting a free entry the same as a bought one.
Not much chance of a refund if you'd already paid for your kids I guess.

The West Australian again on the anti-league warpath. Our very unbiased mate ofcourse retweeting it.

Early guidance that TfNSW is planning for a crowd of only 30,000 for the Rabbitohs vs Bulldogs on Good Friday at Accor Stadium:

Olympic Park will be extremely busy on Good Friday with more than 100,000 people expected at the Easter Show in addition to 30,000 footy fans at Accor Stadium. Footy fans are urged to plan their trip and consider the public transport options to avoid the heavy traffic and the high demand for parking.

----

Hope we will see this number rise next week, as that would be down over 50% from the record 2025 attendance when it was a Bulldogs home game.

If anything it should be a bigger crowd this year as both Souths and Bulldogs are going good.

But a few things that might impact the number:
- It's a souths home game. Accor is on the nose for them. Are they promoting this game like the massive amounts of promos the Bulldogs did last year?
- Last year there was a lot of bulldogs hype at the start of the year, this year don't see it as much yet
- They did $10 tickets in the upper deck seats for families to really drive up sales, are they doing that this year?

It's alright, we'll take any awareness to help move tickets. It felt like there had been very little promotion for this Double Header, so hopefully The West trashing it will remind the league community in WA that it's approaching.

I know a few people think it was an exaggeration that the crowd was easily around 85-90% Bulldog supporters last year but this is proving it! Bulldogs will bring supporters but not 50,000+ for a South Sydney home game!

Level 4 is a long way from being opened one week out, this doesn't make for a large crowd (Besides the 4 bays reserved for Dog members).

South Sydney need to come to the party and have discounts/cheaper tickets!

South Sydney has seemingly been too distracted by getting an inside running on Allianz Stadium, that they have been incapable of running any innovative marketing for current home games at what will remain its primary home until at least 2030.

I wonder if the Bulldogs should keep the Good Friday game as thier own home game?
It would make it easier. They could look to do something similar to the King's Birthday clash where the Eels are a partner in the game, work to help co-promote it, etc, but it's a Bulldogs home match.

Real fans should be attending games to support their team regardless of which stadium the game is played at. There is no reason a public holiday game between two traditional Sydney rivals shouldn't be getting 40k+.
