So we've been trimmed down to De Belin in the #20, with the further trim down to 19 due shortly - I'm not expecting any surprises.

Would be nice if Ryles started one of the younger middles for the first 20mins, leaving maybe Williams to cover the lock role and Walker to come on and bring some options from the 20min mark onward.

But maybe Walker is there from the start these days because Moses is basically by himself in terms of playmaking and the obvious target, with only Pezet, Iongi and Smith alongside him in the starting spine?

So it looks like De Belin has dropped off, and we're #1-#19.

Panthers have retained Jack Cole in their gameday 19, at the expense of whoever was #15 (checked: Billy Phillips).

I can't disagree with that. I don't see the game playing out differently.
The only positivity I have is having my fingers and toes crossed that something weird happens.
Like we actually win.

The Dragons had a similar plan but didn't have the halves to convert last weekend or the outside backs to finish off..

No reason why Eels cant win. Tigers missing 4 stars went over to NZ at 5-1 underdogs and put up a cricket score.
This will be a good test. Even if we stick with them for 60mins id say we are a top 8 side. We are a new side and need time to gel. Wait untill rnd 12 and we will be closer to the finished product.
Panthers have basically the same spine for 5yrs or so. Its a well oiled machine.

I can think of a few reasons why we can't win...

Lack of fitness to their standard.

Lack of professionalism to their standard.

Lack of quality to their standard.

Lack of quality, mobile, hard-working big middles (aside from Tuivati, who is a gun, imo).


I can't see us getting within 20.

This is precisely why I think we cannot hang with the Panthers - their forwards will monster us, and then Cleary will kick us to death.

If we show grit, and a good attitude, I'll be proud.

But we are simply stratospheres away from them.

Moses kicking game is the only thing I can see keeping us in this game.

we have it in us for a complete performance, but has been so far from that so far.

one things for certain is if we get more than 10 points behind we won’t be coming back - so we need to keep the scores close and hope for some moses/Iongi magic late in the game

I just hope they put up a good fight, I'm a little confident given that there's been some upsets and that leaves Penrith the only undefeated team, however they need to really dig in after last weeks performance.
