We made the finals four years in a row from 2019-2022. The last time we did that was under Smith, 20 years prior.

I'll have to check the trophy roomYou need to get in and audit the place.Agreed. Previously it was BA but after he left, MON took it over as an extra hat.
Yeah winning most of your games sucks. You might as well win none of them.Thats awesomeI'll have to check the trophy room

The PO was just a backup plan in case the market decided he was worth less.
I will, cheers. It’s not like I have any choice. The club will perform however they perform regardless of my enjoyment of our wins. Might as well focus on the positives.Really does if you have 0 to show for it...
But continue to be happy with being mediocre.
Without them we probably would have lost him last time he was off contract.but the opposite happened, he got the richest deal in league history.
those POs must have been very valuable

Need to polish off a carton of Woodstock before Goulbourn to go full @StevieI will, cheers. It’s not like I have any choice. The club will perform however they perform regardless of my enjoyment of our wins. Might as well focus on the positives.
How good was Brian Kelly’s fend on Liam Martin! Those are the moments to savor. We weren’t going to win the grand final last weekend. We probably weren’t even going to win the game. But we all still watched it. We’ll be doing it again on Monday too, and if we win we’ll all be f**king stoked. It’ll be a much better drive back to Canberra anyway. Like @Stevie on his way to Summernats.

They’re a desperation tactic. There’s a reason successful clubs aren’t in the habit of using them. They’re a recipe for instability and uncertainty.Without them we probably would have lost him last time he was off contract.

The Storm use them plenty. They’re a desperation tactic. There’s a reason successful clubs aren’t in the habit of using them. They’re a recipe for instability and uncertainty.

If true I’ll stand corrected , but I guess theirs are never played out in the media ? I’ve heard them granting releases or permission to look around, to plenty of their players , rarely hear of their players having escape clauses. The Storm use them plenty.

They're not escape clauses, they are unilateral options to extend, whether their club wants to keep them or not. Harry Grant recently activated his for this year: https://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/2024/10/23/grant-confirms-option-to-play-2026/If true I’ll stand corrected , but I guess theirs are never played out in the media ?
