Thats awesome 👌 I'll have to check the trophy room
Yeah winning most of your games sucks. You might as well win none of them.

Really does if you have 0 to show for it...

But continue to be happy with being mediocre.
I will, cheers. It’s not like I have any choice. The club will perform however they perform regardless of my enjoyment of our wins. Might as well focus on the positives.

How good was Brian Kelly’s fend on Liam Martin! Those are the moments to savor. We weren’t going to win the grand final last weekend. We probably weren’t even going to win the game. But we all still watched it. We’ll be doing it again on Monday too, and if we win we’ll all be f**king stoked. It’ll be a much better drive back to Canberra anyway. Like @Stevie on his way to Summernats.

I think everyone will be watching on Monday but that doesn't mean we should accept mediocrity.
We are Eels fans we have won f**k all in 40 years being complacent breeds shit..

Anyway we have some absolute duds on our squad that haven't improved... I am looking at you Kelma Paulo and Williams.. Thats just in defence arm grabbing cant be something they are coached..

yes how good, I must admit I still have a raging boner..

Hopefully there will be another stunning individual moment we can savor on Monday,

Pezet to up end Twal on his backside would be pretty memorable if we get flogged....

If true I’ll stand corrected , but I guess theirs are never played out in the media ? I’ve heard them granting releases or permission to look around, to plenty of their players , rarely hear of their players having escape clauses.
I don't think you're wrong.

But I do think Poupou Escobar makes things up, and frequently posts assertions without sources to back up his statements.

They're not escape clauses, they are unilateral options to extend, whether their club wants to keep them or not. Harry Grant recently activated his for this year: https://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/2024/10/23/grant-confirms-option-to-play-2026/

A few years earlier, Christian Welch was going to join Parra until he snapped his ACL. So instead he activated his PO to stay at Melbourne rather than be without a club: https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/01/30/welch-takes-la-lakers-tips-after-cruel-acl-contract-blow/
