2026 Crowd Watch

Easily 75% Dogs fans here right now. Souths front office completely asleep at the wheel when it comes to enticing people to games.

Feels like the Bunnies management are sleep walking atm. The Dogs literally showed them what to do last year and they can't be bothered.

Probably about 45k there. Could have been 55k easily with some ticket promos
Credit where credit due, I`m pretty sure I heard Voss say impossible to avoid promos for the game around the Easter Show, prob pretty good way to drum up a crowd, getting people to take a couple of hours out from the show or plan their day around the game.

50k should be the bare minimum for a Public Holiday "blockbuster" between two traditional Sydney rivals.
Yes, when they are both travelling well and in form.
However Sydney isn't Melbourne with the same attendance culture, so credit where credit is due.

Games got to move on eventually from $10 tickets. It worked last yet as a sugar hit when it was becoming clear the NRL could break the record of largest regular season crowd.

If Souths can get just shy of 50,000 - you've nearly got yourself a baseline. Build from it, without doing a firesale.

You remove it when you sell the stadium out regularly. Why not keep it if you have the seats available and you're getting fans to attend who otherwise wouldn't go?

4 time Premiers expected crowd.
It is a shame but I have to keep reminding myself once they move into thier new stadium next year they will get over 20k regularly.

When you think about it, next year should see another big bump since the capacity of Shark Park is meant to go back up to 18k and the Panthers will move into thier new stadium.

Because if you sell $10 tickets all the time you can’t maximise your revenue from the lower bowl because people hold out

50k is a great crowd
A continued commitment to building the culture of attendance at games is more valuable to the game overall than each club maximising every dollar they can squeeze out of their fan base.
The clubs have a duty to the future of the game.
