To support your team? What sort of fan only shows up when they are favoured to win?Why would you bother turning up if you're a Dogs fan?
Vs when they're expecting to lose?To support your team? What sort of fan only shows up when they are favoured to win?
Kind of why comparing nrl ticket prices to concerts or cinema is bit of a furphy. If you knew a band or movie was going to be sht would you pay $50-80 to go watch it? Watching your team lose is generally sht. Of course in sport there always that chance your team comes up with a miracle but it’s rare in RL. I guess the more entertaining the game day event is, regardless of score, can help mitigate that?Thursday night next week might see a pretty low crowd. Why would you bother turning up if you're a Dogs fan?
The crowd expectations placed on a relocated Panthers are usually unfair but they still surpass them anyway. Maybe the new stadium in Penrith should have been 40k.
Redcliffe District RLFC were founded in 1947 and were a first grade club before Penrith and Cronulla were lol. They're older than half the current NRL teamsCollingwood has over 100 years of history behind it. The Dolphins are a new club in the NRL and need to represent a larger area than just Redcliffe. They are supposed to be the second Brisbane team, at least what's what I keep getting told.
its a shame Easter Monday's Eels Tigers is such a tradition. Splitting that and having Wests play at Accor on Saturday or Sunday could be another big 'event'.Wonder if next year you could add an Easter Saturday game to Accor to get some overflow from Easter show?
Panthers vs Wahs?

Then again, the NRL was happy to break the Storm Warriors ANZAC Day tradition so it's not impossible
Not sure Parramatta is sold out just yet, but it's closeGc - sold out
New - sold out
Parra - sold out
Realistically what 2 other sydney clubs would work? Unless you split Tigers and Parra up, but I feel like they’ve built a decent rivalry so I doubt itCan’t work out why another team doesn’t try a hosting at Accor today, long weekend, Easter show
Definitely something to build on
I was clearly talking about them being a new team in the NRL. I'm quite aware there is history outside of that.Redcliffe District RLFC were founded in 1947 and were a first grade club before Penrith and Cronulla were lol. They're older than half the current NRL teams
If that's the case I wonder if we split the teams so both the Dogs and Bunnies get a home game against the Eels and Tigers. We simply need more games at Accor on this weekend. If we don't then watch GWS take the Monday slot in the future and reap the rewards from it.This idea that Parra has to move its home game out of the 30k best stadium in Sydney to please other clubs fans is lunacy.
Giving away our home advantage.
f**k no.
Accor is rubbish.
