A disgusting result and lack of effort by too many , some of our players have met their ‘ use by date ‘ and simply are not performing. I will repeat what I have said on a number of occasions in the past - they are not schoolboys but experienced players , although most certainly are not of 1st grade quality .

Undoubtedly it is the coach who will pay , but will that truly change anything I wonder ,as whomever takes the mantle as coach off this most enthusiastic outfit will still face the exact same challenges. The most obvious being putting some steel and determination into the players .

Same old , same old and so life continues on its merry downward spiral as it would appear that is the way that St.George Illawarra is set up from the front office all the way down to the players themselves , there seems to be no clear understanding that they are there to succeed.

It is indeed a very sad state of affairs for this once proud and prestigious club to have fallen so low .

Very true. When a player makes a break, and there’s no support, you’d expect your fb to make the tackle. Gutho just doesn’t have it anymore.

Gutho has declined significantly in all aspects of fullback play sadly, age gets us all. Sloane is faster.

We have had 4 coaches in a row now that weren’t able to improve the results. We need to accept that we don’t have the quality at this level of the game. We do well in lower grades but the players seem unable to step up to first grade. I am not sure what coach could come in and deliver better results with the players we have. To add more to the problems, good players don’t want to come to the saints anymore. The best we can attract now are the likes of Philip Sami.

If Mahoney had dummied to the support he could have scored because Gutho again went for the support, but this time he got lucky.

Ultimately this coach isn't performing and he should never have even got the gig or the support from people like you, he needs to piss off and the next bloke in can have a crack. You don't hold on sacking a shit coach for fear that his replacement will be worse.
