I know they lost but sheeesh, the Titans don't look a'where near as bad as the Dragons do atm. Copped a few bad calls tonite but Hannay seems to be getting a bit happening up there despite what the results say...
Don't think I'd be betting the house on the Bronx going back to back with their past 3 wins. if they do make the grand final hopefully Penrith put 50 on them as well

He was in front of Sutton before he even baulked.
Agree a pretty ordinarily officiated game.
The better team won but.
Not that it matters but wasn't Riki passive until he knocked the ball dead at which point he was back onside?

The Titans players ran straight, played direct, and played with pace. The Titans halves ran straigh, sucked in defdenders and looked to put their supports into holes. The Dragons, by comparison ran sideways, or drifted wide, dragging the defence with them making the support players easy marks for the Cowboys defenders.

Those poor Titans, it's just so unfair. "Few bad calls", he says.

Have another one chief.

The 'penalty' Broncos era is definitely over.

They're the most ill-disciplined team in 2026 so they're obviously not complying with the NRL directive.

I have a theory that referees will let teams get away with one borderline indiscretion however if you commit another they'll ping you for it which is even more damaging. This tends to happen a lot to the Broncos.

I agree that they ought to keep a stat on consecutive sets. 7 tackles vs. 11+ tackles is a big difference.

The Gold Coast were up to their eye balls at half-time. They only trailed by 2 and with Walsh off the field it seemed like the Broncos would struggle to score anymore points.

That opening passage after half-time was always going to be important and it was the Broncos that muscled up. They played direct and executed a simple kick-chase and that was enough to conjure up points. The Gold Coast are scrambling well under Hannay's 'pendulum' defensive system but they need to have more confidence under the high ball.

Ezra's still struggling for the Broncos but has enough skill to make an impact. I thought Staggs stepped up in the absence of Walsh and Arthars surprised everyone at the back. Congratulations to Verhoeven as well who made his debut off the bench. He had some nice early touches but he's clearly green and as the game wore on he started to resemble a baby reindeer. I expect we'll see more of him in 2027.

There were some decent signs for the Gold Coast, it's just a matter of playing to their strengths. They looked lost at times and struggled to find the exclamation point. If they're going to have success in the future it's going to come off the back of Kini, Campbell, Tino etc. I thought Kini and Tino in particular didn't have their best games.

As a neutral I’m not convinced with the titans spine and halves. Brimson in the centre.
I thought they looked better with
1. Brimson
7 Cambell
9 Verrils

Kini is great but I’m not convinced heAs for 6. Not illias. At worst he’s a utility bench player, at best, he’s strapped to a rocket heading for the sun.
Is Harrison an answer here? Or De Groot

Titans have plenty of potential in halves and fullback but can’t quite crack the code.
