Whats 6pm Friday (non NZ) average?

The parts of Level 3 & 5 in the south, east & western stands that had previously held back (back 8 rows in level 5 South and back 10 rows in level 3 east and west) have been released for tomorrow's Perth Double Header.

Assuming sales continue into kick off like we've seen in the past 48hrs, I'd estimate we're tracking for 35K+. Roughly 45-48K of the venue has been put on sale for this event and there's not 10K worth of seats left.

Have you actually been to Marvel? Any seat on Levels 1 or 2 provides an excellent view. Level 3 is fine if you're in the first 10 or so rows.

I went to Marvel for the Australia vs England game for the 2008 RLWC. Lvl 1

It was marketed as bringing the seats in. I think it was 2006 Australia played NZ there with the seats brought in and it looked alright.

They didn't bring the seats in

It was worse than Accor

As a Storm member I'd love the club to play its 3 biggest home games at Marvel Stadium which would enable crowds of up to 50k to become a possibility. However, the club doesn't want to give up its home field of AAMI Park which is understandable.

You could at least play the last round and finals there with the seats moved in as the AFL season is over by then.

Melbourne isn’t getting a bigger rectangular stadium, so if you want to grow crowds, Marvel is the only answer.

37,761 in 2022 and the two covid restricted crowds of 29,136 in 2021 and 17,174 in 2020.
For the 20 non-covid years, the average crowd is 45,004.

Correct all round. The Broncos return to Suncorp and the Cowboys becoming real NRL contenders dovetailed into the biggest drawing fixture in Rugby League.

30K seems a pretty good capacity for regular season NRL games, I don't know that any more than that is needed. Sure you might be able to get a few more in for big games when storm are travelling well but I like having the fortress of a home ground.

We are a little stuck in Melbourne.
- MCG is just way too big
- Marvel is a great capacity but owned by the AFL so it is not like we want to be giving them money. Especially when the seats are hardly ever brought into rectangular mode.

There just doesn’t seem to be that same history between Brisbane and Redcliffe as cities, while Brisbane always seemed to have that “big successful brother vs poor working class bogan” vibe with Ipswich
