New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

AI gave me this (with a few prompts)… red/black for obvious reasons, splashes of blue/gold as a nod to Highlander country, and Aoraki/Mt Cook across the chest for everyone else south of the strait. It even found a proper South Island sponsor too.

Still feels quite Sader like, but I'm with @Matua... need something to properly hate, so it cant be too Highlander like. No one hates them. They're too shit.

Is that a distinct mountain range pictured? Would be nice to integrated that into the design with accented colour rather than an actual image of the mountain.

According to AI its a depiction of Aoraki/Mt Cook, and compared to actual images it looks reasonably similar from certain angles.

Just noticed its the southern cross on the right sleeve though. Might have to rethink that bit.

I have always been a fan of navy blue and gold.

So, the Cowboys then?

NZ 2 makes so much sense. Can you imagine a rivalry with the Warriors - it could be the most exciting thing to happen to the game in a long time.
The fact that you’d have 2 NZ based teams competing in the NRL makes it an instant rivalry but when you throw in the geographical angle of it being a north island v South Island rivalry as well as adding to the mix the Auckland v Christchurch/canterbury sporting rivalry then it becomes an epic rivalry.

Also, the angle of the comp as it stands is NZ has a team in the NRL- the Warriors play in the Australian competition. A second NZ team makes this competition feel more that is theirs too, that the NRL is as much theirs as it is Australia's .
At least that's how it feels to me .
