Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

Ryles for gutting the squad too early. MON for not landing any decent signings. Board and CEO for sitting back thinking we were going OK.

Its ok to gut the squad if you have the same level or better players to replace them with.
Neither has happened and this coach has never coached a 1st grade team before. Not in ESL not here. He hires a failed 1st grade coach as an assistant and then 2 absolute plodders as assistants...
Trent Barrett when he had the team for that part of 24 with plenty of reserve graders showed more promise.
Hate to say it but we dont need a rookie coach.
We need someone like Trent Robinson who is astute and will speak up in pressers. Our mug just says nah wasn't the refs, nah not the injuries..
Apart from Robinson there really isn't much to choose from.
Break the bank and go after Cleary or Robinson.
We need a high profile coach.
We know no chance for Bellamy, Bennett or Stuart.
The rest im not sold on
Paytens team always had defensive issues

Seibold NO
Benji wont coach another club but not convinced yet in any case

This shit goes in cycles of hope. By mid year the pressure will be on and we will pay overs for mid tier signings (again). We will have a slight dead cat bounce until we go back to default crap. Then the current coach will be sacked and a new coach will begin to start the pathetic process again. Oh and we will be asked to stay patient.

Our attention to detail was a disgrace.

That comes back to coaching.

The titans offload the ball they have 3 blokes running into space at speed.

We offload everyone is 10m behind the ball standing still.

The Titans did 1 drop out and they kicked 70m because we had no one on halfway to catch it.

The titans put 52 on us at home ffs

If thats not rock bottom i dont know what is.

Today was the most disgraceful performance i have ever seen live in 27 years.

It gets further enforced each game he plays that Will should have stuck with Union. He can't now nor will he ever be a player you could trust.

What high profile coach would actually want to come here and work under our current structure.

I dont think it mattered who took this job in 2024.

Hannay or Ryles they were up against it.

The place had to be gutted unfortunately the recruitment & retention continues to be an utter disgrace.

Ryles has been caught out with the rule changes and looks like has failed in the pre-season with the style & players he wanted to use is simply not going to cut the mustard.

Something is terminally wrong when you concede 50 nearly 3 times in 6 weeks.

And two of those sides are both on the same wins as us.

We look worse now then 12 months ago when the Raiders flogged us in Darwin the same round.

That night we had Dean Hawkins & Dylan Brown in the halves, a mentally checked out Shaun Lane, Joe Ofahengaue last game, Ryan Matterson, also Charlie Guymer was starting dummy half in the team.

Clearly we have cleaned out shit but only brought even more shit in the door.

We don’t have the players. Coaches can’t make reserve graders into competent first graders.

Agreed, we are simply undermanned. No club has 6 or 7 NRL standard of back up players, and our back ups are barely cup level.

If we had a team full of rep players a la Chooks, then I would point the finger at the coach.

There are a lot of problems at this club, but I don't believe the coach is the biggest problem.

Agree and hence it was mentioned in my initial post. Just don't know or think Ryles is the answer and its on them for hiring Ryles.
Also his support staff are seriously not employable by any other nrl clubs

nathan brown has been a head coach in this league, wisemantel has worked in international rugby. Moa is a bit inexperienced but this team was firing at the end of last year.

Perhaps moving the Tigers connections on immediately may help, would be the minimum required to kickstart the club.

Fair enough but expecting what we have in the front office to be 10% as effective as anyone in those 2 clubs is verging on the certifiable. We have duds of the first order, who just pat each other on the back, and tell the media how good they are, that explains a lot, then they go and hire a S&C guy who has had basically little success but comes from the same ex club tree, its all too familiar and sad for a big club

correct and from what im led to believe and have been told he has full control...
Anyways once both teams lose again this week there will be more noise about both clubs, both coaches (if Flanagan is still there) and the fans wanting to hand in their membership...who could blame them

Agreed. Injuries have ruined our season. The fans are all demoralised and so are the players.

Injuries and also the decision to agree to Lomax release. If we dug in long enough while R360 collapsed he would probably still be here. I think that was Ryles being smug.

I am just a supporter of the Dragons for over 55 years and don't get involved in who is doing what role and how good or bad they are. The scoreboard tells the story most of the times so in the Dragon's case we have been collectively crap. The Dragon's forum wants Haran gone as well as the Board and most of the people on some sort of authority at the club.

I come onto your forum to get away from the Dragon's forum which is just doom and gloom (but justified) but the Parra forum is basically a mirror image of the Dragon's, only difference is the names.

Although I hate all teams equally (probably my own more than others given how crap we have been), I have a bit of a soft spot for the Eels as the 77 GF was the first I saw in colour and of course we won, but also loved the Eels teams of the early 80s with a cracking backline and forwards that just did their jobs and let Kenny and co do theirs. None of this robotic rubbish where you have athletes playing rather than footballers and 6 again manipulation, etc.
