Hardly surprising - he asked for a release once before. I've not been a fan since then.
On yer bike, mate.

Holy hell that was quick. Not happy with this at all. There's a few I would have preferred to let go rather than Sua. I know there needs a clean out, but he's one we're going to regret. I was so looking forward to seeing good mates Sua and Kolamatangi together in '27. Stupid me for expecting something to look forward to with the Dragons!

Does Kolamatangi's deal with us have a get-out clause? They might be able to reunite somewhere else. Maybe somewhere tax-free...
I'm not sure he's such a great signing anyway, with his shite haircut and his dodgy knee.

Agreed. His form is down this year so far, he has obviously dialled out from the coach which many others have, however I reckon at 29 he still has a few good years left, he is also our only rep player. Yes there are lots of young second rowers coming through, they're still largely unproven and injury prone though.

Last night was another completely lackluster and insipid display under our inept head coach. Congratulations to everyone who has backed the coach who it is increasingly likely will coach us to our first wooden spoon in our history.

The score line flattered us thanks to the ref ball that we managed to get to close out the first half. Our three tries were all soft tries that we wouldn't score against a good team, so when super coach or anyone else says the effort was there, it really wasn't.

FMD it's not even the first time a team has scored off the kick off against us under Flanagan's tenure, anyone remember Jojo Fifita from the Titans doing the same thing a year or two back?

The way forward from here is to punt this coach who should never have even got the gig, give the kids a run for the rest of this season as it is a write off, source a new coach ASAP, give them full control of the football department and let's get on the long journey to watch our Dragons improve.
I'm Hornby, are we the only folks who see this? What you wrote isn't rocket-science, it's just pure common sense based on factual evidence. Let's get something out of this disaster of a season and play the young kids. You want a real kick in the guts? Both my sons have said to me recently they don't tell their mates they follow the Dragons because it's embarrassing. Think about that. They are embarrassed to support the Dragons. My oldest son gives it to me for "making" him follow such a bunch of turnips! My youngest son told me he's lost interest in NRL and now watches the Swans exclusively. Great job from those involved in the leadership of this debacle for + 25 years!

That's a shame about your sons, Rob. I hope that our next coach brings about change in the front office as well. We need long term thinking to bring back all the lost supporters, your sons included. Mary, Hook and Flanagan have all been about short term solutions during their tenures and this has been their demise and meant each few years, we sack a coach and start again.
I won't say the same for Price as he took the reigns at the beginning of the decline, so to an extent he was at the mercy of some of the short term solutions Bennett brought to win us the comp in 2010.

I'm all for short term thinking if it is going to result in a premiership like it did for Bennett, but right now we're begging for the next Nathan Brown to come in, blood juniors until we have a large majority playing at rep level and we have a stacked side, obviously in the same fashion that Brownie did this for us from 2002 onwards.

Cook into centres ??? Liddle hooker win for flanno as he cant see liddle needs more time instead of running cook dry
Who can replace suli in all honesty
Anyone who can run as Suli literally is like a totem poll on his edge. Always has been a lazy player hence why Manly and Wests were happy to cut him lose. When was the last time he chased a kick? At least you know Cooky would do that if he was plonked out on Suli's edge.

My Dragons gear in hibernation for another 10 months.
Too embarrassed to wear them.
I know the feeling Jeff, but I always wear the cap.
But perhaps that's because I have 4 caps and they are ALL SGI caps
🥺
Anyway..
I was driving down Smith St Summer Hill today (sunday), and there was this guy and wife(?) sitting outside one of the cafes.
And what the ...
He's wearing a dragons jersey and wife is wearing a Tigers jersey.
I slowed to a dead stop, wound down the window and waved my cap at them - it's a narrow street.
We exchanged a few supportive words and had a good laugh.

Was that YOU Jeff???

Then a car came up behind me and I had to move on.
But I got a "lift"out of it.
Maybe I'll get the jersey on tomorrow.
🤞

I thought Sloan had a good game tonight. Ran for over 150 metres, 4 line breaks, a try assist and didn’t drop any bombs. He really had a dig. Setu rocks and diamonds as might be expected from an inexperienced player.Lids outstanding. Atko did some good things but just not effective as a halves paring with Flanno Jr. I think CTs injury and then Moses HIA really threw out our bench options. Reed may have got a run tonight save those injuries.
For the Bunnies I’d like to see:
Sloan
Feagai ( we don’t have anyone else)
Suli ( as above)
Val ( as above)
Atko
Reed
Seles
Lids
Toby
Luc
Sua
Stewart
bench: Flanno jr, Ryan, Blocka, LPT, Truck, Guler
I think that's the makings of a pretty fair side CS - in the current circumstances.
And Suli is injured as well mow, it seems.

I admit I am a Kyle and Shane fan, but we have no attack, so Reed has to come in.
And Kyle at 14 is where he belongs.

If SFlan lasts beyond Tuesday's board meeting (or not) I'll be very interested in the team list at 4pm.

No it wasn't..
I have lost count how many caps I have.
All we can do is laugh..
The club doesn't listen so what else can we do.

If Flano survives I will be very surprised if he makes any changes besides injury replacements.
In his last presser he said if he had players in NSW cup pushing for a start in first grade he would play them but he doesn't. After Cowboys he said changes will have to be made.
All he changed was Kyles and Atkos jersey no.

If Flanagan can't tell that Loko is better than Guler and Lawrie then i think he must go to a doctor for a head scan. Loko in reserve grade last game scored 1 try, ran 252 metres from 20 runs, had 2 line breaks, 4 tackle breaks, 100% tackle efficiency with 17 tackles. He's too good for reserve grade, he's been ready for NRL since last year
