Rumours and Stuff

I stand by my high praise for Kurt Capewell, Joker.

Ok, so the guy did some crazy stuff yonks ago, it's a terrible world we live in, cheap and nasty people run the labor party and ruin your country while you're out fishing, the same people arrest a great Australian for carrying out their orders, yet the leaders never get arrested, or even called to account. We can't hold something that happened way back when Trump was hanging out with Epstein and his future wife against the guy, surely?

Capewell is a top flight leader and footballer, he's a big unit at 190cm and he's 3 years younger than JDB. He won with Panthers, he was instrumental in changing their club culture, he brought the SOO back to QLD, the guy's a footballing dynamo, can play any position and his family would love to return to the Golden West.

Capewell turns 33 this year.

We have to stop signing old players.

JDB is 35.

3 Years will see Capewell out into retirement and his longest legacy on top of a premoership with Panthers, SOO QLD will be returning the premiership to the Eels.

That's how I'd sell it and I'd go all in for a 3 year contract and build my forward pack about his athleticism and can-do

struggling Parramatta are desperately scouring the NRL for immediate playing stocks in a bid to save their flatlining season.
Parramatta management and their recruitment team spent Monday analysing rival clubs’ rosters and the possibility of immediately recruiting players or signing a player on a loan deal.

Several player agents have reached out to the Eels to offer their clients’ services, particularly players who have had limited opportunities this season with their current clubs.

A market analysis suggests the Eels could use the talents of the likes of Cronulla’s Braden Uele, Manly’s Blake Wilson, Canterbury centre Bronson Xerri, Newcastle outside back James Schiller or Canberra duo Matt Timoko and Chevy Stewart during their current state of roster damage.

The Eels have signed St George Illawarra forward Jaydn Su’A from next season and won’t give up on trying to lure him to the club immediately.

Parramatta players were booed off the field by their own fans following a 52-10 loss to the Gold Coast Titans at CommBank Stadium on Sunday, the second time in six games they have conceded at least 50 points.

However, head coach Jason Ryles said he wasn’t willing to use the absence of eight players from their top-30 squad as an excuse.

However, he did concede the club would look at recruiting to cover their extensive injury list.

“We do have the ability to do that, but that’s something we’ll have to look at with our recruitment team in the week and the week’s coming,’’ Ryles said after the embarrassing loss to the Titans.

Of the injured list, centre Sean Russell is pushing to play against Canterbury on Sunday, pending a medical clearance following a heavy concussion two weeks ago.

Kelma Tuilagi (head knock), Sam Tuivaiti (head knock), Jordan Samrani (knee), Jonah Pezet (hamstring), Isaiah Iongi (ankle), Bailey Simonsson (ankle), Matt Doorey (knee), J’Maine Hopgood (ACL) and Apa Twidle (shoulder) are all sidelined for an extended periods.

The Eels debuted outside back Araz Nanva against the Titans, and also had exciting young five-eighth Lorenzo Talataina as an unused substitute.

Talataina led the Eels’ SG Ball team to the 2025 grand final, and was quickly elevated into Parramatta’s NSW Cup side, where he has made 11 appearances.

He was a chance of making his NRL debut against the Titans but Ryles opted to partner Ronald Volkman alongside Mitchell Moses in the halves.

The Eels also have a slew of young forwards progressing through their ranks, with the likes of Teancum Brown, Jezaiah Funa-Iuta and Will Latu building towards making their mark in the top grade.

On that list i would roll the dice on Chevy Stewart.

He has some speed at least and his still 20 develop him into a centre/wing that can play FB when Iongi is out.

Outside of JAC we lack speed in the backline

We need young blokes with potential some dont make it at the first club like Kaeo Weekes but kick on at there 2nd club.

I would rather take a punt on Chevy while he is still young and has some potential and a higher ceiling.

Lol. nice gif.

You've tried your "people who are in positions of power got there because they know better than you, they went through a selection process, the coach coaches because he's a coach, the club ceo is a ceo because he's ceo, etc etc".

We're fans.

We are allowed to vent.

We are allowed to examine the credentials of the leaders and question their selections.

What a pair of disingenuous troll merkins you are.

One of you minimises our failures to protect the people at the club he knows.

the other does it just to troll Parramatta fans.

You are a stain on this club and a perennial curse.

We will never be successful whilst ever a malicious troll like you darkens our fandom with your malice and contempt.

You exist only to troll and mock parra fans and, unfortunately, your mockery cannot and should not be sanctioned at this time by even the most tolerant of Parramatta fans.

You are a germ.

Yes. I was wondering if it's GlobalProtect doing its invasive thing. But I installed Linux mint on a virtual machine and it's the same result.

you said you only post on one device, but you obviously dont, so the problem is with one of them, as you don't get all your privileges back instantly when you whitelist LU on your add blocker

I did reset it once, but you went straight back to your device with the add blocker on it

Confirmed the problem is at LU end

Yeah for sure. I just don't want to pretend I would do any better. But if you guys want to pretend, I'll help you refine your ideas by picking holes in them.
