360 didn't say it quite like that.. more that its 1 possible narrative..

I'm fine with Young as interim as a test run, as long as 2027 head coach is something we interview and consider some more left field options.. the game has changed.
Do you remember the result of the last time Young was an interim head coach for the Dragons? So, no thanks. I say appint W Talau as interim head coach. It would be a great experience for him in his coaching career.

Ai, thats exactly my point though, he can come in as interim and if he cant turn us around we wont have to think about him ever again... which is 98.5% likely to happen. And we will definitely go outside the club for a 2027 coach.

I'm a massive Talau fan, I think its too early but I would be very excited if the club picked him (and he actually wanted to do it).. but I think hes more likely to be our first Assistant picked for 2027... finish 2 full years of cup + the lower grades is an awesome coaching base to come off.

WTF young had his go and f**ked it up when he was interim coach before and lost every game. He the defensive coach we can’t defend for shit. And you want young just insanity.

360 have said Dragons aren’t interested in young taking over from Flanno
Not having a go at you BR but if he's not seen as a future coach why is he an assistant.

He shouldn't be anywhere near the coaching ranks IMO he's exactly like he's old man good heart and soul player abysmal coach.

People forget he got a run in 2020 and he has 2 wins and 6 losses from memory nothing to write home about.

There are still some old boys who owe Graig Young a favor. I'm tied of writing of games because of the lack of good coaching. Our resrve grade coach has done a wonderful job over the past few years and is the one who deserves a chance to show that he is up to NRL standard. Talau has worked with most of the juniors in our top 30. He is the one responsible for the good quality of this crop of juniors.

Not sure if this has been raised prior (apologies if so) - but for Damian Cook to continue to start ahead of Liddle can only be because he would have had it written in his contract that if he moves to the Dragons he is contractually bound to start every game.

I really hope this is not the case but i cannot think of another reason why. I wish some journo would ask Flanno and put this theory to bed.
Never heard of a contract that stipulates that a player has to start. I could be wrong but most contracts are that players follow reasonable directions from coaching staff.
So its the coach who is starting him not a contract

They definitely did not say that. In usual NRL 360 fashion they said he's the leading contender, before saying there may be some internal concerns that he's part of the current coaching staff, before saying the Cowboys want him and then going back again to saying he has his nose in front of Hornby.

Yep it's all about Shane's pride on this one. He signed Cook with illregard to how it would impact Liddle's playing time. Now he is on a mission to prove himself right so will continue to pick and start Cook each and every match that he is coach, barring injury of course.

The agenda of today's board meeting has been leaked...

1. Welcome and back slapping all round.
2. Check cash flow from pokies.
3. Confirm dates for directors dinners.
4. Increase gameday box ticket allocations to directors.
5. Approve annual crownies allocation.
6. Close and off for drinks.
360 said its not a board meeting today...its the junior rugby league meeting.

On another note, Phil Gould, who I detest as a person but has an immense knowledge of the game has said sacking the coach will not solve any of the problems at the Dragons which he says have been in the making for years and years (fully agree with that) and solving all the issues will be a 5-10 year process..not a quick fix by sacking the coach.

Don't worry too much about it now , because Flanno's days are numbered nothing he can do Will get him out of the hole he has dug for himself .........
