What a game to start, Cowboys v Sea Eagles. How do Manly go when they're up there? Because we know they're going good anyway, under Foran. NQ are on a roll too, with JT turning back the clock. Something's happening up there in Townsville, you can just feel it.

Friday, freaky Friday. Why? Because both the Raiders and Storm are just a few places off last in the competition. We know they won't finish last but who would've guessed they'd be going so badly? It's going to get worse for one of them in Canberra. Redcliffe might try to copy Canterbury's shock winning formula against Penrith. But, surely, the Panthers won't lose two in a row.

Saturday, the Warriors are favourites, but the GC have ditched the boogie-boards lately. Souths will maim the Dragons, you'd think and Benji's Tigers will have a packed Campbelltown roaring against Brisbane.

Sunday, the Roosters are in decent form and they could start a bit of a table slide for Newcastle. I hope not, as I really like the Knights in their current ladder position. Like Wests and Warriors, it's a relief from the status quo. We close with Parramatta - how grim - hosting Canterbury. Sydney fare.

Enjoy.

Will the Drinkwater allow to chat to other clubs distract the Cowboys?
It probably doesn't help.

I'll be watching the Warriors v Titans at the Newport Arms Hotel on Sydney's Northern Beaches if that place rings a bell for you all. It was a popular pub but is now bland/generic, taken over by that Justin Hemmes empire. Still, the location's nice.

1 of the 2 teams will be flat.
Manly will blame travel, hard to stay up with interim coach.
Cowboys will blame big game last week v Broncos and a couple a key changes.
Hard to pick a winner before the ball kicked.

2 and 1/4 games of footy, but I’m happy to give Foran the job full time

Regardless of end result, there is a clear, simple direction every week and he has identified the Cowboys right edge defence this week and they are going there relentlessly
