Honestly fkn felt pretty fresh today. Hopefully this is the turning point for the boys this season and we lock in mentally for the rest of the season and give the effort we saw yesterday for the rest of the season. Still moments defensively we need to improve but effort and initial contact + completion rate is how well win games against teams that are better than us

That was a great game to watch. I especially enjoyed how it was won and lost with minimal set restarts. It was an old fashioned footy game, and I loved it.
Agree Eelo. Hopefully it continues.
End of 2027

I don't know how everyone else is feeling right now but I'm still overwhelmed after the result yesterday, considering the smashing after the Titans, yesterday would go down as one of the most memorable days in watching the Eels live.

Before the game I was hoping for some kind of improvement or some effort, not feeling confident about winning with so many players out but at least signs of improvement. Then the pre game legends lap of honour happened. They showed footage of 86 grand final, showed each play run out on the SCG, and as the late John Brennan announced each player, some of crowd watching the big screen TV got involved, cheered Kenny, Sterlo, Pricey etc. After that I thought wow, maybe something could happen today.

And it truly did. Ryles really got the players going and made everyone involved in the Eels so proud. You can see how fired up they were.

Just seeing footage of the team cheering after the victory and mingling with the legends, makes me believe in the future.

Is BA's game plan and one that worked for a period. Do it well and we'll make the finals. To go further we need be more adaptable and play in and out of structure.
That's it. Play percentage footy and chase the collision until it is part of our dna.

Then we introduce slowly the flambuoncy, the forwards chain passing, the sweeping left then right, the measured offloads.
Without this, we cannot beat likes of the Panfers.

But we need our DNA to be the first point

I think we have a bit more speed in this side tho. I also feel like we are more willing to shift the ball early but thats also probably structured too tbh. I think similar but with some variance would probably result in the current roster winning games. We do just need better players though
