🤮 That as a full strength side doesn't make the 8 in 2027. Too ploddy.

If Paulo goes around for another year it must be on the bench, and we need a (recruited) middle that will do what Paulo did yesterday - but who does it every week rather than once in 7.

De Silva is a worry there too for mine. And you're missing a #16.

If we don’t spend our spare salary kept getting at least one or two top liners that walk into our team wearing in big trouble. There is no way Paulo should be starting next year.

Yes, at 60 years of age Aravinda Da Silva is well past his prime batting and bowling years, isn't there someone younger in the Sri Lankan cricket pathways we could poach at the right price?

if we're not aiming higher than that than the club should just shut it's doors and throw the keys on Windsor road where they can be destroyed.

Except that the market is thinner with Perth starting and PNG the year after, paying tax free.

It will be like trying to find 3 ply toilet paper in a pandemic.

that's correct, however that's where our head honchos dropped the ball terribly with their lack of foresight on what the player market was going to do with the new players at the helm.

but it will be very tough to scramble a couple of decent signings.

Over previous years, our fingers have definitely "poked through" with some of the single-ply recruits that we've attracted.

Apparently we are the only club effected by the new clubs coming in.

That under lines the stepping in concrete speed of thought and action of our esteemed R&R team. They have the cap and roster availability and as they have done since taking up their positions, act slowly and behind nearly every other club. Unfortunately until they are changed or change their recruitment model, expect more of the same and a basic position around 10/12, again they have managed to turn the club into the Tigers pre Richardson model.
