Anti-football? What are you on about?I highly doubt it, not with the tactics employed tonight. Is this team battling relegation? Even the very best would be pleased with one goal in the face of such cowardice. Chelsea-Liverpool eat your heart out, if Barca don't get a result next week it'll be a travesty of justice. For all the praise that Manchester United get for their play, to go out there and produce anti-football is gutless, and in that sense I think Craig Foster has every right to call in to question the quality of the EPL.
The only thing that matters is winning football these days. Just look at Greece and Italy. Winners of the last Euro Championship and World Cup and yet both played far from the most attractive football. They played winning football.
As have Liverpool who may make their 3rd Champs league final in the last 5 years. Of course wining football isnt always ugly football. The performance of the English sides against the italian giants this year have been excellent.
Arsenal played all over AC milan who didnt create a chance over two legs. Does that call into qurestion the quality of the Serie A? Of course not. it's a great league, the best over the last 15 year period since money and exposure really exploded in the game.
Fact is one or two games doesnt call into question the obvious quality of a league. Only an idiot with an obvious dislike for a particular league would suggest so.
