Nice of you to back away from your claims of racism. Looks like you're arguing with yourself, I never questioned Chelsea's effectiveness.

And I'm a United supporter.

I didn't back away. I used the word if.

I apologise for thinking you're an Arsenal supporter. I've just seen you post a few times in the Arsenal thread.

easts....grant did a press conference the other week where he sounded like a dumb prick, he uttered two words. OK, maybe three. Thats why people havent warmed to it. Not because of where he is from. Knob.

I guarantee that if Avram Grant was an Australian, from Spain or even Russian, people would have given him a chance to "warm to them". Fact is no one gave him a chance.

I honestly believe that all these people hating Avram do so because he is Israeli. If he were of another nationality he would have more support.

Its behaviour like this that causes people not to like Avram Grant.

If you're gonna carry on like a tool, expect people to think you're a tool.

You mentioned Rafa, yeah, he can be a tool and is respected. That respect might have something to do with the number of trophies he has won....

Coming from an Arsenal fan?

Enjoy tonight and May 21.

Also, enjoy Wenger. I would take Frank Farina over him.
Saying that you would take Farina over Wenger is worse than saying that you would take Paul Langmack over Jack Gibson.

What trophies has Farina won?

How could a manager not get results with the side that he has?

I bet you didn't even know who half the players in the Arsenal squad were before this season.

Who's fault is it that Arsenal were deflated two thirds through the season?

Have you heard of Bill Belichick? He coaches the New England Patriots (my gridiron team). He has won 2 superbowls as an assistant coach and 3 as head coach.

Him and Wayne Bennett are the same. They simply don't talk to the media. They answer the questions but they do not elaborate. Nor do they throw in cliches.

It is a fair point you raised, but those 2 coaches I've mentioned do the same thing and are arguably 2 of the best in their respective sports.

If you have a look at the press conference snippet they give, the journalists ask stupid questions.

This article screams bias. Obviously this journalist had nothing else to write about.

In fact I found another article which questioned whether or not Avram Grant can win a big game:
http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=ys-extratime040708&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

He didn't do a bad job against Liverpool and Man U at Stamford Bridge.

both those two coaches have earnt respect because they've won something.

If Grant is any good, he'll win trophies and get respect. Until he does, he'll be seen as a petutlant little whinger with little to no personality because of press conferences like the one I linked.

Err, someone should Grant that Italy doesn't have a play-off anymore. If teams finish on even points its decided by head to head. If Inter and Roma finish on even points, Inter win the title because the results this season were in their favour; 4-1 and 1-1.

I agree a playoff system is fairer, but Grant should have checked his facts first.

Even if there was no respect it would be warranted.

But all Grant seems to cop is disrespect.

Who's fauly was it that Australia failed to win a game at the 2005 Confederations Cup?

Saying Farina is a better manager than Wenger is borderline locky-ness.

An Arsenal started a thread and laughed at him, a man who has managed a team for a portion of the season and is above Arsenal. They dropped 7 points under Mourinho.

He laughed at Grant for what most others in this thread felt was a legitimate and interesting idea.

I still believe that if Grant were not Israeli, (I'm not referring to being a Jew necessarily) he wouldn't be criticised so much. People would be talking about how other clubs struggling will be chasing after him. If you are prepared to disregard this as Mong has, you are naive.

Australians don't even like Australian managers. We're nuffies on the world manager scales.

Graham Arnold and Frank Farina are two perfect examples.

No, its dumb and only been suggested because Chelsea cant past Man U on goal difference. Rolls were reversed, he wouldnt have suggested it

Given you said you'd take Farina over Wegner, I think you're actually just taking the piss in this thread.

Oh, and up until the liverpool and man u games, questions about grants ability to win a big game were legitimate. In fact, they were raised on this here board by chelsea fans.

Why is it a dumb suggestion?

I think Wenger is the very overrated. Me saying I'd take Farina was a bit tongue in cheek.

Of course they were legitimate questions. They've been answered though it seems? Do you not agree he has proven that he is more than an average manager that the media made him out to be?

Why is it a dumb suggestion?

because the premiership is decided over 38 games. thats why it is the premiership.

cup finals are decided by one off games, not a 38 game premiership.

perhaps if chelsea played more attacking football rather than scratching out on nils, they'd still be in the hunt.

Of course they were legitimate questions. They've been answered though it seems? Do you not agree he has proven that he is more than an average manager that the media made him out to be?

yeah, he has shown he is capable. how much of that is grant and how much the ajax dude though i dont know.
