Holy ****, how fast is he?! I knew he had some speed on him from that try against the Storm, but that run back to save the intercept try was amazing!

Pity we ended up letting in a weak try after it..

He's got some toe, that's for sure  Thought for a second it was him at the end trying to chase down the last intercept too, but it then became very obviously Buderus  though that said, Buderus looked faster than I thought...

I will always remember him nearly out running one Brett Stewart in Week 1 of the Finals back in 06.

He is quick for sure.

Hes burned the likes of Wesser, Stewart and Bowen fairly easily in the past. He'd have to be close to Tahu over 100... he seems to be of about the same speed.

He did out run Stewart... wasn't it Robertson or someone that eventually came across in cover and Got Mullen as he fell a metre short?

He has deceptive pace but Tahu would smash him. Don't kid yourself.

No, over probably about 40 Tahu would win but it's that 40-80 metre mark where everyone has expected the likes of Stewart, Bowen and Wesser to catch him but he just motors ahead of them. Tahu was caught by wesser in open space twice back in 03 if i recall correctly... might have even been as far back as 2002.

it was watmough that caught him, and stewart is currently the fastest in the nrl over 100 m. mullens time is around 11.4 secs.

Over 100m, I'd say that Tahu (in his prime) and Mullen are the same.

However, the fastest player I've ever seen since following league would have to be Darren Albert (when he was at the Knights, circa 1996-2001). Now, he was VERY FAST, and use to win the 100m challenges they use to hold on the Footy Show all the time. I think his PB was slightly over 10 seconds flat (10.3s I think). Even when his best years of football were behind him at St Helens and Cronulla, he was still pretty quick. Some have said he's the fastest player in the history of Rugby League.

The person who comes in at a close second is Martin Offiah from the UK, during the late 80s and early 90s. I only saw Offiah play towards the end of his career in the mid-late 90s, but I can see why they use to nickname him "Chariots", from looking at old footage of him

That, or because it's a witty play on his name... ;-)

Mullen doesnt seem that fast, like Thaiday looked like he was a bullet over 40m only to kinda sprint the rest... Mullen does seem fast but not blistering, Wes looked pretty fast to run down Rovelli was it? He left Buderus in his wake as well...

10.3? That time makes you near the fastest Austrailian ever. Well, almost (Pat Johnson, 9.93).

I doubt Albert is running a digital low 10.

Fastest ever in our Club is Aku.

He has been running sub 11 since he was 16, which is amazing. Not sure what he runs off the track though, but I imagine low 11.

The thing that stands out with Aku is that is a digital time, not one recorded by the trainer with a stop watch.
