Lewis or Gidley?

He might have the 1 to 7 on his resume, but he is only great playing in the number 1 jersey IMO. Even Knights fans don't like to see him play elsewhere.

We don't like to see him anywhere else because he's best in the number 1 jumper but has played heaps of 1st grade football at 6 and 7, and played most of his junior footy in the centres. I don't think he's played much on the wing but I'd imagine being a fulklback, playing on the wing wouldn't trouble him plus you always need someone who can fill in at hooker which he can and Lewis can't. He's also alot more dynamic attacking player than lewis which you need off the bench.
I mean in saying that I would've preferred they not picked him because we could use him this week but I think next in line I would've gone with Farah

No, he goes alright in the centres or at 5/8, so long as he isn't expected to be a playmaker...

Lewis could easily fill in at hooker if he had to. He has a solid passing game and excellent running game. He is also a great defender...

The only position that i think he wouldn't manage to cover is in the front row.

i am not upset Luke did not make it.Now he will come out fired up and fillet a few sharks .As for Gidley he deserved to get selected ahead of Luke as he would have been selected for origin 1 if not injured

I agree with muzz. Would much rather see Lewie lining up against the sharkies this weekend than for the Blues next week for purely selfish reasons. We need him against the sharks, so he can smash that overrated hack Kimmorley.

Agreed. Lewis is of Origin quality, but I'm happy he is playing on Sunday.
