Obviously the Eels management don't rate him highly enough to make him a priority signing. We shall see where this goes.

you can bet Grothe is on a heap after this bullshit last year

http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,21425035-5001021,00.html

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Grothe is just days from agreeing to a rich package worth up to $440,000-a-season to represent the Wallabies and Waratahs. Grothe's imminent defection comes after Eels teammate Timana Tahu agreed to walk out on rugby league for the ARU at the end of this season.

The ARU will offer Grothe a base contract worth $280,000 a season.

I remember reading a while back that a young Brad Fittler was close to joining the Eels but management didn't want to pay overs for an untested player.
I'm hoping history isn't repeating itself. Maybe Williams really is overrated and not worth that much money. However, the fact that so many fans are upset over him leaving and the issue has even made it to various media outlets just goes to show that fans do have a little reason to be concerned.

Yes we had a bit left but now we have changed our mind and are using it to keep Lowrie our star backrower.

Well what would you suggest? No offence, but the club pretty much ignores its fans at the best of times...not to mention they have today to keep Williams and that's it...

well, my info is that the money we offered to Ennis was laughable compared to the Dogs, and we were his club of choice, i know that for a fact...but in saying that it's a matter of choice and Hages is the one to make the call on Williams and he obviously doesn't rate him as much as Manly does and that's just the way it is.

Gee, you are setting yourself up for a dump.
WAit for the tag team to get at you for daring to have an opinion on something other than mainstream.

Can you guys start playing him in the back row, since he will probably play there next year.

If you can't do that, play him in the centres with Inu outside him.
