who gives a sh*t

no need to complain - manly lost

the world is happier

Oh we will be happier come September when the steroid inflated knights are nowhere to be seen, either way last night was a phsycological win for the Eagles they shoulda won 16-? but thats done & they can go into the finals knowing the Storm are beatable.

If you dont believe me, their first try came off 2 forward passes, their third try came off a non existent knock on from menzie & give us stuies try & the Storm suprise suprise LOST THE GAME! Archer was shocking in the ruck i was at the game Storm are disguting live, Crocker at one point in the final minutes tackled suart on his 5 m line & attcked him with both hands while he was on the ground, & that had been happening all game, I laughed when that fool had DAvid Williams on the ground then picked him up with both hands & performed thew pile driver on him hhahahahahah was a rematch of WWE

Manly will use this game to get themselves a win in the GF all you haters just wait. Storm cant continue to win games with tactics like that one team will catch them out. Kites hit on Crocker lol he should sqaushed his nose teach him a lesson at Brooky.

Exactly. On the replay, Stewart only ever had his eyes on the ball. If a player wants to put himself in the way, someone running for the ball should have every right to run into them, as long as it doesn't interfere with the players taking the ball (which tonight, it didn't).
.
.
So if he only ever had his eyes on the ball - how did he know that Quinn was right in front of him so he had to outstretch his arms and make a pushing action??? He woudn't have seen him if he had his eyes on the ball???

Stop living in the past #*^, get over 1997 already it's well and truly past now.
.
Yeah Manly know the Storm are beatable, and I bet they are questioning themselves as to who will beat them because they sure can't.

Instead of worrying about 1 minute of play, why don't you complain about the other 79 minutes where Manly had ample oppurtunities to win yet have a fking impotent halfback.

Manly are never going to get a better chance than that to beat the Storm. Big crowd pumping up their tyres, home ground, lots of chances and the Storm playing well below their best. Don't get me wrong, Manly played well, in fact I don't think they can play much better than that with or without Lyon. I think that Melbourne will actually take more out of that game tonight than Manly. If Manly supporters want to keep on with the conspiracy theories, let them. Maybe that will help them get over another loss to the storm. The players on the other hand have to get themselves up for the rest of the home games knowing that when they meet the Storm again, it will be on neutral turf, After playing their guts out last night and still not coming up with the goods, I think that Manly have already played their grand final. If they prove me wrong, I will begrudgingly eat humble pie, and I won't whinge too much about those filthy pieces of excrement Watmough and Matturd.

Agree. If Manly couldn't win last night, they ain't going to beat the Storm in any Grand Final rematch.

If Archer is ref the Storm WILL win the premiership
Seem to remember someone saying if Hayne is ref Manly will do likewise.
How about, if both Grand Finalists play to their utmost ability , may the best team win
Do agree though that the stormers on here are less than humble with no real substance to their arguments other than "look at the scoreboard"
and that the Stewart decision was abominable . If players are going to run block for their catchers then the chasers should have every eight to push them out of the way . If Stewart had charged straight into Quinn and noy raised his arms , the try would have been awarded.

It was a joke of a call that no try. If a defender is going to play a block and make no effort to play at the ball, it shouldn't be a penalty if someone runs into them knocking them out of the way.

If they are playing to the rules then so be it...if Quinn was not pushed over then he would have had an oppotunity to try and tackle Stewart.

Harsh call really...

Haha, all the years that Manly had the refs in their pockets and now they think a couple of calls went against them and they whinge like little bitches.
If ya looking for someone to blame, look no further than "big game" Matt cause it wasn't the refs fault that Melbourne are just too good.

Still remember the '78 finals series vividly. 7 tackle tries, Ray Price sent off, Manly scrape through.....

Also remember the Morrison no try a few years back. Melbourne scrape through.....

Still reckon the Chooks, if they get their act together (and probably bloody will this weekend - bastards!), can take 'em both. Ditto Broncos, possibly Sharks, maybe even Saints on a lucky day.

I'm not sure that Manly can beat Melbourne, and both clubs know it. If Melbourne falter, someone else will do it.

Where has anyone said that? From what i've read i think you'll find that most Storm supporters have said that Manly were the better side for the majority of the game and we're just happy to get the win up there.

FFS...definitely showing your ignorance and the fact that you have not read many replies from Storm fans.

first let me qualify this by saying im neither a storm of eagles supporter.

that was a terrible call. on the replay quinn claerly changes direction at the last second to intentionally get in stewarts way. not only that but pushing quinn had no effect on slaters catch on the ball. like a few have said if your goin to illegally block atacking players and you get bumped out of the way then so be it.

really i think the acid test in these cases should be what happens on every other high attacking kick in the game. either a defender or attacker generally gets impeded, pushed, knocked off their feet or bumped out of the way and you never see a penalty called. so why should they change the ruling simply because a try results and they go to the video. it should have been a try, if its not penalty in general play then its not a penalty when a try is scored.... simple

one of the worst calls ive seen in my opinion. robbed us of a potential golden point game..... although orford did his best to help melbourne win with his fifth tackle options.

i hope all the maly supporters can see why hes not in the sky blue.....

Nope, Storm fans are not as bad as Chooks fans when the transit lounge jags a win.

Surely your still living in 03 or something. From what i can tell there are very few blatantly arrogant easts fans on here these days, no worse than any other team.

Also, I had no issues with the reffing. Manly however were the better side, it wasn't the ref that beat them, it was their own choking useless sack of crap halfback, and the random individual brilliance of Billy Slater.

Orford is a good half back when the forwards are in control but seriously when the going get tough he just seems to fail on his last play options and looks crap. IMO that's why he doesn't get picked for Origin etc. Come September if they play games where their go forward has been stopped he may pose a big problem for Manly.

I'm not Manly bashing by the way, just calling it how I see it. They need to plan how they will react in this situation or they will struggle to outplay Storm again should they meet.

For those of you who think that Stewart was impeded unfairly and that Quinn should have been penalised, watch what happens to Israel Folau every week on a lot of bombs. He gets run off the ball and impeded by players running shields and changing direction with no intention of playing at the ball, but simply preventing him from getting a shot at the ball. The difference is he doesn't push them in the back. The rule is the rule as far as pushing players in the back goes. You can shoulder out of the way, but you can't push in the back. You may not have got the result you were looking for last night, but every team has that happen to them. If Manly are good enough, they will win the Grand Final, and if they are not, then they won't, and it will have very nothing to do with conspiracies.
