GREG Bird has played his last game at Cronulla.

Just because Bird has been charged and faces jail time if convicted should not automatically disqualify him from a possible return to the NRL.

All Kent is saying is that it will be hard for Bird to continue at the Sharks. Do you really disagree that this incident hasn't had a negative effect on the Sharks? A lot of pressure will no doubt be coming from sponsors who rightly don't want to be associated with incidents of this nature, so perhaps you should be contacting LG to let them know you really don't care about this and that you won't be buying any of their air conditioners if Bird gets sacked, rather than directing your angst at a journalist who's offering a fairly reasonable opinion given the circumstances.

If charges are withdrawn or bird found not guilty and pressure from LG lead to his sacking, i personally will never buy another LG product again.

I like their new marketing campaign with the fish being amazed at the tv.

I don't have a bad word to say about LG. They must be the longest running sponsor in our history? They have poured a fair bit of money into us for little results when you consider FTA coverage and on field success we have had with them. I'm sure we have helped establish them in NSW and QLD markets but so it is a double edge sword.

I know if two products are the same in value - I'll take the LG one. (that said i just bought a samsung lcd..)

umm - a defenceless girl has been seriously injured and you are worrying about a 2- bit reporters sensationalism and who has called the club.

Why don't you ring the club and tell them that this cowardly act is not conducive for someone from your club. Perhaps you could even say that this person has tarnished not only the image of the rest of your club but that of the game also.

Nice to know what is really important in your world - wherever that may be.

Well I'm in Vanuatu and it made the Vanuatu Daily Post today. Alot of league fans here, but was still supprised

On subject. The club has done what it needs to have done, nothin more nothin less. It has kept the door open a tad if Bird is cleared entirely by the courts. We'll wait and see on that. If it turns out to be a lessor offence but is still an assault of any kind on a woman then he is to go and go for good.

I haven't been in contact with the Sharks and at the moment have no intention of it.

Right now, best thing for Club, coach, players and fans is to get on with the job. We are in a great ladder spot that should not be wasted.

Forget Bird.

Bring on the Tigers.
