Some people don't like to give Buderus the recognition he deserves as a player, and while the Dally M's may not be an accurate reflection, I'd like to post a congratulations to Buderus and Gidley for making the top 10 in this years' Dally M Awards
I feel Buderus' ranking of 4th, 3 points off first was particularly special in that he only played 15 games compared to Slater's 20, Smith's 21, and Orfords 22. I also thought it was a great effort considering our team was placed 9th in comparison to those placed above him being part of the first and second best teams in the competition, in that the team's performance did not aid Danny as much as the other higher ranked members (some may argue that players from better teams have more competition, but it's not always true). Just imagine what could have been if it wasn't for injuries - a Dally M in his final year in the NRL. Gidley also did well polling 18 points.
So I think a big congrats to Danny and Kurt for their outstanding seasons is in order
