Channel 9's Disgraceful coverage of finals

Does anyone have an email address I can use to abuse someone? From a Melbourne perspective that was the best possible game to showcase the game to the public and they blew it bigtime.

it annoys me that 7 news in melbourne has more comprehensive coverage than 9 news during sport sections - its as though 7 is promoting 9's game more than what 9 is. shouldnt 9 being trying to promote their OWN product?!

and as hundreds of others have said, the nrl MUST do something about it - i doubt many heathans are going to stay up til 2 like what im doing.

its all about 9 wanting the AFL rights and they will do anything to appease the AFL. that means showing the game as late as possible beecause they know Gallop won't enforce the contract

What were they showing instead? I don't think it would be about the AFL contract as that isn't up for a few years. What I don't get is that it's basically free coverage for them and it's a final involving Melbourne. Surely they'd show it after the AFL finished on the other channel.

Not really, it's business and every organisation does what's best for themselves, with the exception of the NRL. It's the NRL's responsibility to negotiate a decent contract and enforce it.

I see no prob with Nine playing a NZ game on hour delay at 7.30. Same reason people in Melbourne are complaining - get the most exposure to the game. The NZ semi was one no one saw coming (and maybe should have). Replaying tonights game in Melbourne at the hour is pathetic and Storm fans have a right to blast the Nine switchboard.

does it piss anyone else off when the ball is kicked into the ingoal and the player is running it back out of the ingoal and they cut to the camera on the ground behind the tryline...BITCH I cant see if the player is in the ingoal or halfway up the fkn field!

Nah I don't think the 7:30 movie would let alone the 9:30 White Chicks replay. Maybe there is someone at Ch9 melb who despises RL? But that doesn't matter. The point is that the NRL hold 100% of the responsibility to have the game shown at a decent time. Seriously, how hard is it to include something in a TV contract like "all Melbourne games in the final series must be shown live in melb." We have "games must be shown before 12", but its not even enforced, so who's to blame? The NRL probably have the most useless management in world sport right now.

YES! I actually mentioned this during the call when Hunt was bringing the ball back. f**king annoying, thought I was the only one.
