yep, they changed it originally to bring it forward to 11.25, and then today they've decided to show friggen White Chicks, meaning the game is pushed back until 12.10 again.
Where's the NRL on this one??

yeh cant believe they cancelled fringe , i was so looking forward to that followed by the nrl but no white chicks and seinfield (most people who watch white chicks are probley out or at the afl anyways)

channel 9 must of heard the threat from the nrl to take the league of them if they dont show it before 12 and are now making fools of them by showing there product after 12

nrl are to dumb to relize it :x

Try and work this out because i sure as f**k can't. At the start of the week they had the movie Take the lead at 7.30pm, an encore episode of Fringe at 9.55pm, Seinfeld at 11.25pm and then the game at 11.50pm.

Now fro whatever reason nobody knows they have Take the lead at 7.30pm, the movie White Chicks at 9.50pm and then the game at 12.10am! So instead after many Storm fans including myself rang up channel 9 to complain about it not going live, they go and push it back even later instead of earlier. I'm going to one of only the 2 live sites in Melbourne to watch it but that doesn't help the ones that can't make it does it.

Maybe we shouldn't have complained and it might've gone on earlier :sarcasm:

I don't see how this can eb allowed to happen. I really don't, the Storm will never aagin enjoy success like these last 3 years... the NRL have truly missed out on their best opportunity ever to get a foothold into that market.

i guess the ratings last week were pretty bad
it was on at a good time with no afl on so there were no excuses

The NRL has pushed back the kick-off tonight's game to 7.55pm when it was scheduled at 7.45pm all week.

They are nothing but bastards.

Spot on.

They're just rubbing our noses in it by delaying it even more to 12:10am after all week Storm fans have been complaining about a 11:20pm start.

But all is forgiven because they are going to have some "live site" outside at the docklands (atleast have it at fed square)? I dont think so.

what a missed opportunity, i was hoping the storm lost (got thrashed), so it wouldnt have been as bad. Imagine this game in prime time in Melbourne... a few newbies could've tuned in and fallen in love. f**k i hate 9, and f**k you gallop

its not all too bad, true Storm supporters in melbourne would have checked the score on their mobiles or on the net and knowing they won they will tune in

Imagine how many fans rugby league would have won in Melbourne if that game was showed live there tonight? All the fans tuning in for the last 20 minutes would have been on the edge of their seat. It had everything. Probably one of the fieriest 20 minutes seen that showed what rugby league was all about and so much emotion too. Congratulations Gallop on missing another opportunity. The only fans who will stay up to 2am to watch the game are the ones who are already diehard supporters.

ch 9 are showing the game live yet we have to see Cameron Smith kick his line dropout on the full on replay because they are to busy with ad breaks. joke!

any reason why

No doubt to sneak a few more ads in. ABC radio was saying the Storm were ready to come out, but were told to stay back in for another minute or two. This is while 9 was showing about 10 ads.

Channel 9 are disgraceful.

To start that game at 12.10am in Melbourne is criminal. The NRL just let them get away with it.

If Channel 9 in Melbourne do not show the prelim final against the Sharks live next Friday night with no AFL competition then they really have stooped to a new low.

Channel 9 are disgraceful.

Not really, it's business and every organisation does what's best for themselves, with the exception of the NRL. It's the NRL's responsibility to negotiate a decent contract and enforce it.
