American football executives have shown keen interest in the bird man. They view him as a blocking back based on what they have seen of him on tape.
These are serious negotiations and the implications for legal action over this whole sorry saga do not bode well for any one except Bird.

Who will be the BIGGEST loser?

Not really Carch man. He has a low centre of gravity & a lot of power weight.
He is the perfect build less a few inches in height.
I don't know how serious this is because nobody gets into the NFL from anywhere other than college, unless you are a kicker(special team).
As predicted by yours truly, this is going to cost Sharks more money than Anderson & so it should.
It should be a lesson for the NRL & the Sharks & even other sports, that sportsmen have a right to a normal life & legal processes without fear of humiliation & or loss of income.
It's now time for those responsible at the Sharks acting outside the legal system to come out & own up to this most serious of blunders.
I bet they are too gutless.

So he'd play FB? He would be useless unless he puts on 20 KG's and learns the technique and game really fast. To be honest I don't think any NFL club would waste their time on him.

No, either cornerback or safety. & there are none in the nfl that weigh 120kg's
Birds weight is about right its just that he gives away a few inches on height.
The thing that would work in his favour is that he can handle the impact & stay on his feet & they would be impressed by that as that is very important for defensive backs.

I think he'll make some squad and get cut before the season honestly.

Look at Brock Lesnar and what a physical freak he was and how physical he was/is. He played NFL all through high school and all that jazz but a few years out of the game killed him compared to other guys he was competing for a roster spot with.

Birds best case would be getting sent to the european nfl league for "development".

I see a "Blocking back" as a full back not a safety or cornerback. He would get shredded in those positions even more as you pretty much need to be a Wide reciever that tackle. He is way too slow and I don't he can jump very high. He could possibly be a linebacker but he'd need to once again learn the game and how to read the game pretty quick if he even steps onto the field.

Lesnar is a joke. He went from WWF to NFL, flunked their, now he's gone to MMA and he got KO'd in less then a minute in his first fight.

Bah who against? If it's against Couture he's finished.
yup Couture.

Lesnar did ok in his first fight but had a rookie mistake and paid for it. He was dominant against Herring

What position did Lesnar play? He looks like a defensive tackle type player when I think Bird might make a good linebacker with time only because he can tackle and has the right size (ie Ray Lewis build).

hahahahahah

he wouldnt be suited to CB or safety. he's not fast or tall enough.

imagine him vs randy moss.

hahaha

oh my god thats funny.

Alot of safety's and CB's are around Birds height which is listed at 6ft.

Although yeah imagine him against Donnie Avery, Steve Smith, Devin Hester or trying to chase down Chris Johnson!. 70+ yard TD's at will.

Lesnar was a DT from memory..

Bird does not have any where near enough speed for a cb of safety. I don't know about his leaping ability either. Linebackers must have a good NFL IQ which I doubt Bird has despite how many games of Madden he has played.

I think he could make a alright fullback but we would be talking 3 or 4 years in the euro league to develop. Theres no way in hell a NFL team lets him walk into a squad and let him run some plays. Physically he could do it but inexperience would kill him. It would be like that Greg Smith bloke who played 1 game for the Knights back in like 99...

Technical talk aside, f**k playing in the NFL

Imagine bird having to stand next to some dude named "Leroy" in the showers ... humiliation all 'round...They play in snow ffs......I'm sure he'd prefer the safety net of the NRL with sthimmo
