Ricky Stuart Should Be Dropped!

Hunt is way more suited for rep games than Gidly will ever be.....he choked again this year in origin for NSW time and time again hes wellknown for it.

With Price out Kite and petro needed 1 more big prop to take over from them and give us go forward. Perry and the other second rowers tried but they are not front line props. I hate gallen and this is killing me too say but he tried all night going forward with 2 or 3 always hanging on him (someone shoot me now i feel sick).

Smith was quiet seems like he was just going through the motions etc Like his heart wasn't in it (Hardly a surprise with what happened to him recently).

I also think although he played well in this game Tupou has never been outstanding IMO he doesn't suit rep footy.

But the bottom line is......Ricky got his say with fitzgibbon and tupou and for picking them over way more able forwards he should step down. He plays favorites with ex mates far too often to be the Australian coach.

Bennett and Kearney are just a class above ricky and it showed!

Any serious sporting coach who fails this miserably needs their ass fired before they have the chance to step down...

Make an example of this clown...

As if someone from Cronulla was going to win something....

Australia losing the world cup is pretty much an instant sacking for the coach, toss onto the fire that the genius has made outlandish accusations about corruption and being 'stitched up' and you have yourself a coach on the way out. He has to go for a) for the good of the game and b) because most people that have never even coached league before could have led that side to a victory.

Inglis can't perform in big matches either, but he's always picked.

Ok I'm pretty sure as soon as everyone read this they considered not even reading the rest of your dribble. Inglis is a Clive Churchill Medal Winner and won man of the match in Origin 2 this year. I'm pretty sure they are big matches. He has scored 5 tries in 7 origin matches and 13 tries in 11 test matches. These are also known as 'big' matches. If you think he doesn't perform in big matches you have a few screws loose.

Your'e kiddin, aren't you? Hindy has, as usual, been awesome.

No he hasn't. Maybe if you bothered to watch different teams then Parramatta play you would see that isn't even in the top 7 or so second rowers in the game.

The Roos pack wasn't totally outgunned.

Fair enough.

Besides, Folau had a dig. Inglis didn't

They're different types of players. Folau is going to do the hard yards, thats the type of centre he is. That doesn't mean Inglis didn't have a dig. He's a different type of player, he does pull off brilliant plays and that is one of the reasons he is there. He's not gonna do 10 scoots out of dummy half, but Folau isn't going to score a 80 metre try.

Most would say India is a great place to live, too. Do you have an opinion for yourself?

India.. what ? Are you seriously saying that in your opinion Slater not being there to tackle Jeremy Smith (even though it was on-the-line defence) is a bigger blunder then throwing the ball to Benji Marshall to give him a try?

All can fire up when needed. And it was needed.

Carl Webb hasn't fired up since he did two good tackles in State of Origin in 2003 or whatever it was and everyone knows that.

He is good at fullback. Crap at pivot. Never seen him play anywhere else.

Again, maybe if you watched a few games of football you would have seen him play other positions. He played in the 2006 grand final on the wing, played five eight in a winning 3rd State of Origin team this year, and has played lock this tournament for Australia.

Has played pivot and centres in first grade, hooker as replacement in Origin. That's 5 positions to cuties 2

Hunt can cover the same positions and can also play in the forwards (lock) if needed.

Same can be said of Craig Wing and Terry Lamb - which is why I said DEVELOP them over time. All can cover half and hooker, and can be trained to be a centre. All have the ability to be decent utilities.

Some do have the ability, but Mullen can't be a centre. Not an effective one anyway. Nor Cronk. Campese is another good option for this position. The best utilities are ones that can play in the forwards and backs, such as Shaun Berrigan (not Gidley).

Why not? Anasta has a kicking game, and experience in forwards and backs. Again, what can cutie offer?

A kicking game and experience in the forwards and backs. Anyway you don't need a kicking game when Thurston, Lockyer, Smith are in the team, they're all accomplished kickers. Anasta can't cover outside back positions.

Bowen's been a sucessful utility in Origin before - won a series with a try I recall. Rogers has played fullback, wing, centre and pivot before. His age? How old is Heather and our front row, or Fitzgibbon?

He won a GAME with an intercept and we lost the series. In fact, Bowen has never played in a series win at all. (Except for 06 when he played the first game, which QLD lost, and then got dropped for the next two, which QLD won). You can't compare Rogers to Lockyer, Price etc. Matt Rogers hasn't played for Australia since 2000, as a winger, and then went to rugby union for 5 years.

Bennet got punted!

Wrong again Einstein.

Maybe the writing was on the wall.. but he resigned.

Given the revelations today about how Stuart conducted himself after the game and before the media conference, I'm doubly sure that I don't rate him.

And now rather than not losing any sleep I'd be more than happy if he were moved on or chose not to continue in the Australian job.

i seriously doubt it. Australia havent had stiff competition for how long now? The first close game and they fall away in the end. Yes the coach is responsible for getting them ready but sometimes experience reaps rewards. Australia imo need more consistent stern opposition from NZ and such and they will improve. They waltzed through to the final and Stuart needs to take as much credit for that as he needs to take blame for the loss.

Dont sack him though, give him a chance to redeem himself, if he cant then send him to the wolves.

When Wayne Bennett stepped down, the Australians not only lost the final but the opening tri nations game too. Stuart has lost two games in his international career and is a champion regardless of whether he plays or coaches.

And now he's attacked Ashley Klein and Stuart Cummings the next day.

He is a disgrace to Australia and the game.

Sack him.

Good time to finally break free of using a club coach as the national coach.

Give it to some-one like Mal or Johnny Lang.

Gallen is a highest order grub who really has no respect for the fact that they got beaten by a better team.

Definitely not a leader and not a role model.

I take it that you believe that Ricky Stuart should be given an OAM and a large cash reward for being an arrogant twat?

No sorry wasn't referring to that, just that in a different thread Mr. Manly said the exact comment to me after I agreed with someone else. Ricky Stuart is an arrogant twat and it's really starting to make me happy that NZ won, because now hopefully he will be gone as AUS coach !

Surely after abussing the ref and RLIF boss and the ARL boss he's gotta be sacked.
Hes a disgrace of a national coach.

The Australian Coach should show respect, dignity, humility and good sportsmanship at all times.

Ricky is a tosser now he needs tossing out.
