BTW, not liking Lebanese isn't racist. Lebanese people are of the Caucasoid race, i.e. they are caucasian, like most of the rioters. The dislike comes from an abhorrence to their cultural more, many of which beggar belief in a modern, civilised society.

They came here, they made their bed and they have to lie in it as far as being villified as a result of their actions.

Still, it's not racism, as most of the people who are at odds with Lebanese Caucs are Caucs themselves.

The riots cleaned up that mess. End of story. Cronulla is a better place as agreed by shop owners & residents.

That's all too true BS. Unfortunately for them their twisting of the facts doesn't wash in the real world. One only has to point out that Islam is widespread and I doubt that a large number of African & Asian Muslims are ready to become Lebanese nationals.

Another interesting sideline to the racism versus simple dislike debate is that the 2 groups mentioned above are Negroid & Mongoloid respectively. Makes for convoluted & illogical argument when there are several races that go into making up the world Muslim population.

The facts are visiting scumm have tried to take over the place , not coexcist with the locals. How many times have those that frequent Ganammatta , South Cronulla, parks and beaches have been told that "we own this now so piss off Aussie" by a lebanese ,Islander or Muslim young man ( prior to the riots) ask the locals , we know . Ok its Racist , but I remember when my family would share the park and beaches and I dont remember any problems. My thoughts are that its generational and the present young generation have been spoilt by their hard working imagrant families. At a recent celebration with some Macedonian friends their son ( just finished his HSC) was given a new car. Those same parents had worked very hard during their lives here in Australia. My parents let me drive their car till I bought one. It was a riot , is was racist, it sent a message. We in Cronulla had had enough.

This showed the world , that a country when the Socceroos made the semi final had bounded so close that we would kiss on the cheek if we scored , had so quickly turned the back on one due to act of minority.

At the end of the days , its no ones land , its not the Aboriginees , its not the convicts or the English its not mine and it ain't whoever is reading this, its gods country , I aint a religious man but I do know a valuable principle my rents taught me as a young lad "love and peace"

I understand where your coming from. I rember as a kid collecting old gran from her nursing home and spending time with her and my parents at Shelly Beach park. It was always peaceful. Never any dramas. I do however have to say that stupity, imaturity and lack of respect is not limited to those of lebanese or other backgrounds. In my opinion its a generation problem. I have witnessed many caucasion young men and particularly girls, behaving like complete twats, much the same as you described happening in the parks in Cronulla. Being a dickhead has nothing to do with race or religion, it is simply a behavior that seems to be rife in many young people (hmmm known a far few dickheads that are older also).

There was a situation at Cronulla that had to be resolved. Maybe the "riot" was not the right way but but the govt and police would not act appropriately to keep Cronulla a safe place for all. Do we forget the then premier of NSW represented the Lakemba electorate. The lebanese gangs were by their own admission trying to take over North Cronulla and claim it as their strip. They had caused a lot of trouble to the lifesavers and general public by intimidation through their numbers and total lack of respect to all. There had been many many incidents of physical intimidation and the straw that broke the camels back was the assault on the young lifesaver. I know of many other incidents prior. Whilst there were some ugly incidents during the "riot" these were over highlighted by the media. Maybe more should have been reported about the long festering lead up which lead to it happening.

MINUTES after telling his pregnant girlfriend "I love you", Mohamad "Tiger" Omar lay dying on a nightclub dance floor, stabbed in the chest during a brawl.

Mr Omar was with a group of family and friends at the Beirut By Night Restaurant in Homebush early yesterday when he was attacked after coming to the aid of his girlfriend, who had been punched in the nose.

His brother Mahmoud and another friend who went to his aid were also stabbed. Witnesses said the attackers earlier in the evening had yelled out, "Tiger, how are you?" and Mr Omar had waved back from across the room.

Shocking attack: Woman glassed in Sydney hotel

"It was like they were friends," witness and close friend Morgan McDuff said.

Mr Omar's family last night paid tribute to the 24-year-old, calling him their peace maker.

His life was about to take a happy turn as his girlfriend, identified only as Linda, had told her mother and closest friends that she was pregnant.

Ms McDuff, 22 described watching the couple dancing happily together and then the final harrowing minutes they shared after Linda was punched and Mr Omar was stabbed near the heart about 1.30am. As he lay dying, Mr Omar pulled his girlfriend close to him.

Ms McDuff said Linda had recently told her mother and closest friends she was a few weeks pregnant.

"She was pregnant, she had told her Mum and she told me," Ms McDuff said. "One minute he is sitting there telling her 'I love you Linda, I love you,' then they were dancing and everything was good, next minute one of the guys came and punched her in the nose and he was on the floor."

Ms McDuff said Mr Omar was "conscious for about 15 minutes" and had pulled his screaming girlfriend close to him as he lay dying.

"Tiger was so nice to her, he was the ultimate prince, he never spoke a word out of line," she said.

Mr Omar's distraught sister Suad yesterday told The Daily Telegraph her brother was "the peace maker of everyone". "Not only have we lost him but a lot of families have lost him," the 31-year-old said.

"He was a tiger, he had the heart of a tiger. It was his nickname. China man was his baby name."

She said her brother's murder had "left a hole in everyone's hearts".

"I went downstairs, I wished he was here just to see the people that came here, there were hundreds."

Another witness described seeing several men jumping on Mr Omar but said that by the time he got to the dance floor, his friend had already been stabbed.

Linda was nursing cuts and bruises to her nose and spent several hours yesterday giving a statement to Auburn police. Mahmoud Omar and a friend were treated for wounds to their arms and released from Westmead Hospital.

Police were hunting those behind the attack at the Parramatta Rd club and are yet to determine what sparked the dance floor fight.

Strike Force Goodhope was formed yesterday to investigate the murder.

I don't live in the Shire anymore. I used to live next to Northies & had to put with the trash leaving there every night. Low as snakes bellies. But not as low as the degenerates thats used to invade the parks on weekends & harrass, intimidate & behave like absolute pigs.
I am also of mixed decent. I am first fleet Australian on one side & have a maltese heritage on the other.

But don't let facts ruin a great factual beat up by the do-gooders/greenies/holier than thoughs of this little forum world.
