I think a few of you guys are getting ahead of yourself.

The current trend of Broncos players going onto join the Bulldogs is nothing but coincidence. The only player the Bulldogs actively pursued was Ben Hannant who they paid extreme overs for to secure his services.

Michael Ennis and David Stagg on the other hand were basically told to go look elsewhere by the Broncos management. As it turned out the Bulldogs were after a hooker and a backrower.

There's nothing wrong with it and personally speaking I hope those players do the Bulldogs faithful proud.

The warriors are getting a bit of a north queensland feel about them with fein, luck and lillyman all playing for them next season.

Manly have had abit of a facination with former raiders over the past few years:
Michael Robertson, Mark Bryant, Ben Kennedy, Michael Monaghan, Luke Williamson.

You guys would have had a really good nucleus if you could keep your good players.

Imagine:-
1. Schifcoske
2. Robertson
3. Monaghan
4. Gaffa
5.
6. Carney
7. Monaghan
8. Kite
9.
10. Weyman
11.
12.
13.

To name but a few...

Willie Tonga

I'm sure a number of those players are internationals... anyone arguing the Cowboys haven't bought our club out of house and home (don't get me started on the Roosters) is kidding themselves.

are you serious? Thurston wasn't even starting with the dogs when he left. They made a conscious decision to re-sign sherwin over thurston as sherwin was a premiership winning halfback at the time and thurston was the backup, or perhaps bench utility. The cowboys bought ben harris from the english club he was at, they didnt buy him when he was at the dogs, he just happened to have played there at an earlier stage of his career. As for Tonga well you could make a case for him but I didnt see much of a fight go up to keep him, especially considering the amount of free cap space the dogs had. He is an injury prone player who the dogs decided to let go because of promising juniors and new buys (Idirs, Morris).

can i just say, you're an idiot

Schifcofske would be 32+ years old by now, he'd have been put out to pasture 2 years ago if still in league, as much as he was awesome in his hey day.

Robertson was and still is a nevelle, he's just made to look good with Orford. His hamstrings wouldnt hold up in the cold climate of canberra either as proven in his stint with us.

Gafa was a superstar at PL level, reknowned nuffy at FG level, we rejoiced when he was released. He's sh*te.

Carney was and still is a tremendous talent but he's a liability off the paddock, he needs serious help to tackle is demons, and he certain, after 6 years wasnt making progress in the ACT.

Weyman has loads of potential but if he plays more then 10 games this year id be shocked... between injuries and suspensions and generally being very unfit. the decision to release him was absolutely the correct one.

Mick Monaghan and Kite ill give you, but such is life, as it turns out im pretty happy with our halves for next season, Campo has a career defining season last season, if he carrys on we'll be perfectly fine without Carney and Mick, Herb and Campo will do the job. And between Logan, Tilse, Thompson, TLL and Shillington i think we're well served with front row also... miller and thurling can play there if needed also, along with Daniel Joyce from Souths Logan, and our U20's from last year Andrew Edwards and Nick Skinner

Thurston started 04 as the Bulldogs first choice five eighth. He was very injury prone at that stage of his career and nearly had a season ending injury early on. He worked hard and made his way back into the team around finals time. Injury to Anasta saw him play in the semis and injury to Price saw him play the GF. The Dogs knew his talent but couldn't match the price and we also paid heavily for Steve Mortimer's 5 year deal to Sherwin.

Ben Harris - I agree with what you say.

Willie Tonga - You guys can have him.
